I can't listen to this embedded shit at work, but let me give it a preemptive "meh." I like my Strike Anywhere plugged in, fast, and screaming.

I really don't get this obsession with acoustic sets/albums/side projects. They are just so overwhelmingly meh. I would much rather have a new strike anywhere record.

Awful quality all around. I would be really interested to hear SA do a studio album where the songs are reworked and recorded properly. This just seems lazy.

I really like Strike Anywhere, and unlike others, I really, really like the notion of acoustic/mellow versions (I'm 36 and have been in the scene for over 20 years; sometimes I like some variety with my punk & hardcore)... BUT... I am absolutely dismayed by the atrocious sound quality of these recordings! I love their studio-recorded acoustic version of Chalkline -- it gives me chills. But I can't even get through this boombox-recorded set. No disrespect intended, but I really don't understand the sloppiness here. |

I seriously cannot get over how bad that pic is.
