Coliseum hits the studio with J.Robbins

This week, Coliseum will be headed to Baltimore, Maryland to begin recording their fourth full length album with producer J. Robbins at his Magpie Cage studio.

The album will be the follow up to House With A Curse and is expected in Spring 2013.

Nice. Can't think of nicer or awesomer people working together. Coliseum were absolutely great the last time I saw them.

I have to disagree. Still solid live but didn't like the last record, and have really been turned off by the almost denial that they were, essentially, a metal band for several years.

I can see that. I didn't really care much for the last record either, minus a few songs, but I did like the last ep they did. All the songs they play off of either have sounded great live though and the new ones they played gives me hope for this.

Since I didn't care much for their last record I almost skipped seeing them last time they came through town and I'm glad I didn't. They put on a great show and just seem like super nice guys, no pretense. As long as they keep putting on shows like that I'll probably keep buying their records, even if some do disappoint a little more than others.

love House with a Curse.

Didn't think i would after the first listen, big time grower. Stoked to see them back at it. Did the bass player get replaced? That dude had been in the band forever...bummer.

^ Fuck ya'll. House With A Curse was way better than No Salvation. There's a reason that they "deny the fact that they were a metal band", because they didn't plan to be. Having Chris Maggio in the band just made them sound like they were (not to discredit him. He's a great drummer, and especially in Trap Them he fucking KILLS IT). The songs on House With a Curse are great though. That was one of my favorite records that came out that year.
