Brooklyn Vegan has posted a stream of the debut full-length from Code Orange Kids, titled Love is Love // Return to Dust. The Pittsburgh hardcore act is set to release the album on November 20, 2012 via Deathwish Inc..

First 30 seconds a riff, next 30 seconds a riff from what sounds like a totally different song, next 30 seconds a part where the drum plays a placeholder beat and the guitar just ring out, next thirty seconds another riff. And there you have a Code Orange Kids song. It IS somewhat unique though, I'll give them that.

Did you listen to this stream? It's not the most groundbreaking shit on the planet, but it IS a lot more cohesive than their other stuff. I'm starting to understand what people see in these guys.

Nothing to do with being "cool." I like plenty of modern hardcore. This band, however, is fucking garbage.

I've seen them live a couple times, pretty good live. It's nice to see Pittsburgh bands get some recognition .

I dont get the hype. I've seen them and their side project Adventures and just dont see what people like about it. The music just seems amateurish and irritating to me. I agree about the Pittsburgh bands, but there are so many better bands from Pittsburgh.

Completely amateurish. There are some bands who do weird shit and you think, "do they not know what they're doing, or are they really good and doing some weird, next level shit?" This band I'm pretty sure is the former.

i really really really like Adventures. but maybe that's because i saw them live before i ever heard of them. i knew those kids back when they were in an acoustic band called Wifebeater (that is now called Lilith i think). never knew they were in COK. il be honest, i can't get into their recordings. but you know, maybe they'll start branching out more and doing different things. right now it just sounds like they're just trying to write music for people to ~mosh~ to. they're all still young though, im sure they're younger than me. and they're better than any of my bands were back then at writing hardcore

I really like this - there's something about the noise they make that I really enjoy.

Will pick this up next time I order from Deathwish, definitely.

Come on now it's good, I havent listened to it enough to give a thorough opinion though. Speaking of good Pittsburgh bands, check out Hounds Of Hate. They soooo good.
