Revelation Records unveils Chicago lineup for 25th Anniversary

While Revelation Records has not formally announced the lineup for the Chicago edition of their ongoing 25th anniversary celebration, we were able to obtain a day-by-day lineup of bands performing this year. Tickets go on-sale tomorrow for the shows which will run from January 4 to 6. Bands set to appear include Gorilla Biscuits, Into Another, Sense Field, Popeye, Shelter, Texas Is The Reason, and Youth of Today.

Tickets are $43 for a single day or around $90 for a 3 day pass.

I was incorrect on pricing. $109 for a 3 day pass.

That's a little bit insane right? A 3 Day Riot Fest pass cost the same amount and you got like 60 bands for that.

I assumed I'd be going to all three days, but if what we're seeing above is the whole line-up, at that price I think I'm just going to GB / Shelter.

This is great and all but 1. House of Blues? Besides being a shitty venue won't the shows be 21+? These bands have always sung about "letting the kids in" and it doesn't seem right 2. I don't live in Chicago nor am I willing to travel up there just for a show or two. Really, I only care for Gorilla Biscuits but the others aren't bad.

They do all ages shows there. It looks like these ones are going to be 17+ though.

Glad I'm not the only one that hates that place. I seriously can't help but lose respect for bands that play there over the other equally spacious places in the city. Also, Fuck Live Nation.

That`s a huge disappointment. Like I mentioned above "Letting the kids in". Sure the members are older now, but why do they have to restrict their shows to a certain age? Sure most people going to these shows will be quite aged but I'm sure many kids love these bands.

Exactly. House of Blues is a terrible place to be, especially like you mentioned "that play there over the other equally spacious places in the city". I share that hatred with Live Nation too.

Bouncing Souls refuse to play there after 2008 Riot Fest. Mad respect!
HOB was my most hated venue in the U.S., until Congress Theatre started having more shows.
HOB Chicago is now the second worst.
