The Bronx detail ‘IV’

The Bronx have revealed the artwork and track listing for their upcoming album, IV. The record was recently pushed back to a February 4, 2013 and is the first album from the band since The Bronx (III) in 2008.

I thought Matt made a remark regarding the record being inconsistent as a whole. I think there are four or five brilliant tracks on III, but it is my least favorite of the three albums.

These guys seem to have become a festival-only band. I hate that I'm from Los Angeles and can't ever catch these guys playing a local show in their own hometown.

Do they have some kind of beef and decided not to play LA again? (And yes, I'm aware they just opened for Refused the other night at the Fonda. We all know how easy it was to get into that.)

Between them and Mariachi el Bronx, I see a ton of shit about them playing LA. I think they probably play LA more than most touring bands play their hometown when not on tour. And that's just from being on facebook or whatever.

That's mega absurd. I follow them on every imaginable social network they're on, and I'm pretty sure I'd be aware of a Los Angeles show. I haven't seen The Bronx live since 2008 (coincidentally at a festival of course). Oh and btw, I'm talking about The Bronx, I'm not so much into the Mariachi Bronx which actually does play LA a lot.

I'm really glad I'm not alone in thinking III was a bit mediocre. If this is anything like II, then I'm stoked.

If they're consistent about one thing though, it's having horrible fucking cover art. Still beats the last Crime in Stereo though.
