Of course he was the best part of Ferris Bueller, he was the only sympathetic character in the film. Ferris was a truant douchebag. That arrest does put a black mark on his record, but at the very, very, very least, at least he wasn't actually touching the kids. It's more than I can say about Victor Salva or Roman Polanski.

I couldn't remember if he was actually touching kids or collecting kiddie porn. Either way it's gross.

He was also good in Howard the Duck. The part where the alien or whatever takes over his body is pretty classic.

I liked 'Howard the Duck', though that should surprise no one. I have the soundtrack on vinyl...I thought about getting Thomas Dolby to sign it, but I feared he might punch me in the face. :(

Much like 'Ishtar', '1941', 'Hudson Hawk', 'Dune', 'Gigli', etc., 'Howard''s reputation greatly precedes its actual quality. Objectively speaking, it's stupid, but it's nowhere near as terrible as people make it out to be, and those who disagree obviously don't watch a lot of bad movies.

On a related note, '1941' was a great movie, I have no idea why people consider it a flop (contrary to popular belief, it was a box-office success)

Hell no. I like Mustard Plug, and - at least for the few times I've seen/talked with them - I'm on pleasant terms with them. I don't want that to change just because Jeff "I Don't Understand Sarcasm And I Do A Poor Job At Promoting Music Venues" Rosenstock heeds your advice to join their ranks. >:[

I like both MP and BTMI!, but their paths should no sooner mix than, say, Bryan Adams and Winger. Two great tastes don't always go good together.
