Vice Noisey has posted a mini-documentary about artist and Converge frontman Jacob Bannon. The 12 minute feature delves into the creative output and formative influences of the iconic hardcore musician. The film was directed by Ian McFarland.

special place in my heart for Converge always. Generally really like Jacob's art and him as an artist. Good energy with intelligent things to say.

I felt this video did a poor job of showing that though. It's much more about HIM. I would rather see something about what motivates and him. What his process is like. Why does he think art is important? Why does he think hardcore is important? Etc, etc, etc.

Just isn't what I was hoping it would be.

Yeah, I also felt something wanting. Why did we follow this guy on his daily routine? It was really . . . routine. Might as well follow me as I go to the supermarket, the bank, Starbucks (whoops! wrong place to say that), and to the drum studio. Really nice photography and camera work though. I too wanted to learn more about his connection with the music--besides the standard "It completes me spiel." Anywho, off to the superamarket, the bank, and to grab a crappuccino.
