Tours: The Thermals (March 2013)

The Thermals have announced a short run of dates, primarily bookending their upcoming shows at SXSW. The shows also anticipate the upcoming release of an as yet untitled full length due out sometime in the Spring.

on the fence. I like this band, but not sure I need to see them live.

The show they did on KEXP (you can watch it on youtube) is really good though. It made me love the songs off Personal Life a lot more.

If you see them in a small venue and there are more punk/indie rock kids than straight up hipsters (Dave Hause said he went to Thermals show once and there were kids sitting and reading books in-between bands) it's a rockin' good time.

I'm not trying to sound like a dick, but these guys were great for their "fuckin' a" album, which was amazing, but since then it's just been pussy ass whiney shit, and there's enough of that sort of sound out there. They once ruled, I remember going on a trip to south america and didn't have an ipod back then, and just had two songs from that album to guide me around, but since then they've been shit.
