We Are the Union have announced an indefinite hiatus. They said just this:

We've decided to take a hiatus from active status. [...] We were a band. Maybe someday we will be again. We've had some amazing times, and we truly appreciate those of you who've contributed to our existence. We've never been a supercool hype band or uberpunx beardy band, so we thank each and every one of you who listened to our music over the years.

The band last released You Can't Hide The Sun in 2012

Kind of a bummer, they were always really nice dudes, and I had tons of fun seeing them a bunch from 2008-2010 mostly around Boston and New England. I think it's just sort of unfortunate that their original horn section dropped out/quit, whatever happened. New record was solid too.

damn this sucks. I regret not going to more of their shows. I did manage to catch them at @ Black Christmas in Detroit, and they were definitely one of the best bands all night

fucking blows! I always thought this band was underappreciated. Really digging their latest record and "ourcore" is still a song I love to this day.
Wish they had toured with the flatliners or been on fat. P&P failed this band.

Damn it! Nooooo! WATU brought the power to the ska. First saw them in a basement in Brooklyn with Bomb the Music Industry! and I was blown away by the awesomeness. Will miss the hardcore sing alongs and skanking.
