Whoa whoa whoa. Orgers actually LIKING something? What year is this?!
Farkasok (February 25, 2013)
Way better than "I Wanna Be a Warhol" (which I thought was crap). In fact, I liked this song quite a bit. Here's to hoping the record is solid.

Sounds good. Love the organ, it reminds me of Bad Astronaut just a little bit.
vinnythomas (February 25, 2013)
Love the verses, but the chorus kills it. "The plot it thickens and grows?" ehh. It's funny because I loved the chorus in Warhol and hated the verses.
ReelBigMike (February 25, 2013)
Good stuff. Slightly better than "I Wanna Be a Warhol". Pretty confident this album will be great.

They've always been one of my all-time favorite bands, but I kind of fell out of touch when Agony and Irony came out. I'm not sure that's even a thing, since I was 13 when it came out (holy shit, how did those 5 years go by so fast?). Regardless, I'm liking this significantly more.

I really want to hear this, but someone swiped my speakers off my desk. And my stapler.

I hate when they direct you to spin's website. The songs never play on my phone.
porksoda (February 25, 2013)
Not great, but 100 times better than 99% of the stuff they've put out in the past few years.
jimmynorville (February 25, 2013)
I'm not sure if this song is good or just so much better compared to I Wanna Be a Warhol. Either way, I'm interested to hear a Dan song.
telegraphrocks (February 25, 2013)
1) I like it, but "I Wanna Be A Warhol" totally grew on me, and I fucking love that song now.
anarchypants (February 25, 2013)
This is a great track though, it's got a different production style but the two singles released so far are fantastic.
fartbucket69 (February 26, 2013)
This song sounds like something off of A&I or This Addiction. The only thing that makes differentiates them is the production. It's more raw sounding than their previous attempts which were really processed and had weird effects (including a fucking brass section?!). I think we will have Bill Stevenson to thank for taking a fairly bad album and turning it into an "eh" album.
superskabro (February 26, 2013)
I'm no longer expecting anything great from Alkaline Trio but this was pretty fucking good...
thermonuclearwarrior (February 27, 2013)
That was fucking awful. Sounds like it's time for this nostalgia act to hang it up.
shane16166 (February 27, 2013)
this band kind of sounds like alkaline trio. but, like, minus the stuff that made them good. ten years ago. that said I'll still get it. sigh, sucker for punishment. it's getting harder to justify being an alkaline trio fan with every consecutive release. |
