Very cool. I like this style of interview a lot. Well done, Gentile!

also you should install adblock plus or someshit

gugl0003 (March 3, 2013)

Oddly enough, I never received pop-up ads on this site until a couple weeks ago when I checked it from the states. Weird.

lukabratzi (March 2, 2013)

Aren't Southern Records super dicks about copyright violations? Which obviously would make sense for any label but when you've crass I think its a bit hypocritical to use laws that you don't even believe in to line your pockets.

Plus there's also a lot of super shady things like Southern Records filing DMCA complaints against people posting clips of Steve Ignorant's live tour, their facebook page censoring complaints, and lots of copyright bullying. So maybe Crass was new and revolutionary when they started, but now they seem like a bunch of (surprise) jaded old people trying to cash in

77jordan (March 2, 2013)

Very well written!

Really great article. I've never been "into" Crass, but I picked up the greatest hits album back in the day and still give it a listen every once in a while. Hard not to appreciate their take on punk, even if you don't like the music.

unwaxed (March 2, 2013)

Does the collection come with a hygiene kit?

Fynch (March 2, 2013)

That was a great read.

Even though punknews is littered with shitty bands and Justin Bieber ads, at least there are still awesome interviews and features from johngentile. Thanks for keeping this site interesting, dude.

lukabratzi (March 3, 2013)

yeah johngentile's articles are always the absolute best

gugl0003 (March 3, 2013)

I don't understand the appeal of this band whatsoever.
