This is cool. Props to them.

davebrave4 (March 4, 2013)

Yeah if it's a bootleg, the band's not making money on it anyway; they might as well get a little publicity out of it and give something to the fans.

dancinshoes (March 4, 2013)

Awesome idea! Love that band.

killtaker (March 4, 2013)

Insta-poll: Mohawk Tim or Beanie Tim?

cpp_ (March 4, 2013)

nothing's as bad as Spider web tattooed head Tim.

killtaker (March 4, 2013)

true

rabbit (March 5, 2013)

except for fat beardy spider web tattoo'd head tim

he looks like a fucking biker now

Amateurchemist (March 4, 2013)

This is reminding me of how awesome this band can be

Dignam (March 4, 2013)

Tim's Vocals pre-indestructible > Tim's Vocals post-indestructible

anarchypants (March 4, 2013)

Yeah really, what the hell happened?

Did he and Tom Delonge decide to just start sounding terrible?

Dignam (March 4, 2013)

I know. At least pro-tools can make Tom sound coherent and decent enough on a recording, but I don't think pro-tools can fix "rap-talking" or "talk-rapping".

therightclique (March 4, 2013)

"At least pro-tools can make Tom sound coherent and decent enough on a recording"

What? No it can't.

davebrave4 (March 4, 2013)

Overpolished & overproduced, but that doesn't mean they're not coherent.

mclz (March 4, 2013)

Hopfully some soundboard recordings show up. The band was selling ones in like 05 from shows the year prior for 9.99 and they were all amazing quanlity.

johngentile (john g.) (March 4, 2013)

True. I think one even had two operation ivy covers.

mclz (March 4, 2013)

yeah that was around the time they started including op ivy songs in their set. i remember listening the all 4 nyc shows trying to see if i could hear myself in any of them. i think i heard myself shout something out once or twice. the best was at one of the shows some dude kept screaming brad logan the entire set so during the set tim sang the first verse of the song which was cool since i don't know how many times they've done that live, if ever.

rabbit (March 5, 2013)

i wondered about that when i saw them live last year... why don't they play brad logan?

davebrave4 (March 4, 2013)

I have a VHS bootleg of Rancid & Op Ivy shows on the same tape. I hope this is better quality.

misterspike (March 4, 2013)

I loved those soundboard recordings. Best concert souveneir ever. Beats a tshirt any day.

chadreligion (March 4, 2013)

I hope there can find one from around 98 when they were touring with Beastie Boys and on warped tour

loki13 (March 4, 2013)

I saw one of the shows with the Beastie Boys. It was AWESOME!

Dahlin (March 4, 2013)

I went to the tour stop in Phoenix and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Really fun-

strumz (March 4, 2013)

WTF is going on at the beginning of The War's End?

anytime (March 4, 2013)

Now that's punk.
