New Found Glory to release Ramones cover record

New Found Glory have announced that they will be releasing a record of Ramones covers for Record Store Day. The record is called Mania, and will be available on April 20th.

This is a worse idea than both the Beatnik Termites and the McCrackins Ramones covers records.

To date, the only two worth a damn are The Vindictives 'leave home' and Boris the Sprinkler 'end of the century'. The MTX one isn't terrible but isn't as entertaining as the other previously mentioned records.

Yeah, he went with that one instead of the Vinyl Apron with Johnny's face on it. At the time I thought he chose poorly. In hindsight, he did ok. That elastic band keeping the mask on always broke about a half hour into the night.

I'm not a big Queers fan either. I've seen them a few times over the years but I don't find the songs all that great. Teenage Bottlerocket is always good and I'm super excited to see Masked Intruder.

I saw it last night here in Detroit. First Queers show I've seen in the 17 years I've been going to see them that people were crowd surfing and stage diving. Based on the crowd reaction, I think both Bottlerocket and especially Masked Intruder will be blowing up in the next year or so. MI had to have sold over a hundred vinyl records, seemed like every other person at the show had one in their hands (me included)
