Frontwoman of Counterfeit accused of defrauding cancer fund

As reported by Alt Press, the frontwoman of Pennsylvania hardcore punk band Counterfeit has been accused of defrauding a cancer fund. According to various sources, Hali Etie allegedly faked having stage three cervical cancer, and then accepted thousands of dollars in donations.

A Michigan Organization called "Hardcore Cares" put together a benefit show for Etie as well as sold various items and started a GoFundMe page. However, recently, the origination released statements that they thought that Etie's claim of having cancer was fake.
