Unreleased Elliott Smith, Blink-182, Bright Eyes on new Barsuk political comp

This Fall, Barsuk Records will be releasing Future Soundtrack For America, a compilation organized by They Might Be Giants frontman John Flansburgh. The CD will raise money for MoveOn.org, Music For America, and Common Assets. Billboard is reporting that the disc will include previously unreleased material from R.E.M., Blink-182, Fountains Of Wayne, Bright Eyes, Death Cab For Cutie, David Byrne of the Talking Heads, OK Go, Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am, They Might Be Giants, Tom Waits, and the late Elliott Smith. The tracklisting was not available at press time, but when it is made available, we'll bring it to you. Future Soundtrack For America will be in stores on August 10th.

You could drill a hole in it, glue the string to it or you could pretend a A5 piece of paper was the note, paint it green then do the trick, cause i don't think they would know the difference. Use your imagination.

Wow, the Black Eyed Peas sell out to the tune of 5 commercials, do a song with a boy band member, and then add on a talent-less booty girl. All this just to get the suburban white kids money market. God damn they are smart buisness men. Oh yeah, They might be giants are fucking terrible.

Actually my uninformed retarded friend, it has nothing to do with your punk rawk analogy. They used to rap about sell out hip hop acts and in fact have 3 or 4 songs with lyrics sticking those types of acts out. One of the lyrics mentioned being lame for shooting a Pringles commercial. Then they did a Dr. Pepper ad to start their selling out spree. This is called hypocrisy, and has nothing to do with going mainstream. I went to one of their shows for Behind the Front and it was packed and everybody their knew all the lyrics so I would say that was semi-mainstream for an underground hiphop act. What they are now is a joke. A mockery of the old BEP.
