Heads Held High is a melodic hardcore band hailing from Northeast Ohio.
Combining socially conscious and introspective lyrics with a musical style that is more indebted to bands like Strike Anywhere and Modern Life is War than Integrity, (or any other Cleveland hardcore staple), Heads Held High can easily be added to the list of distinctive Midwestern hardcore bands to crop up during the early 00's.
The band does not claim to, (or strive to), reinvent the proverbial wheel: rather, the band is simply five friends writing and playing songs about compassion, injustice, personal growth and loss with heartfelt sincerity.
