Part first-wave punk supergroup, part art project for frontman John Cafiero, Osaka Popstar brought together Misfits bassist Jerry Only, Black Flag drummer Dez Cadena, Voidoids guitarist Ivan Julian and Ramones drummer Marky Ramone. Cafiero provided lead vocals as well as the anime-styled art that accompanied the project.
