Statues formed in the northern Ontario nickel mining town of Sudbury. The three piece features bassist / vocalist Mitch Houle, drummer / vocalist Jeff Houle and vocalist / guitarist Rob Seaton. All three had previously played in long standing Sudbury garage / mod / punk act the Havocs. The is heavily influenced by early power pop and `70s punk and released a DIY debut record before they ever played a show. The record was since re–issued by California's Pelado Records. Statues recently collaborated with ex–Frenetics frontman Malcom Bauld.
