About:

Straight out of Nashville, the birth place of Rock 'N' Roll, the Teen Idols hit the scene back in '97 like true veterans with their self-titled debut full length (Honest Dons / Fat). The album and their live show got such great reviews that they quickly re-entered the studio to record their second album "Pucker Up!" (Honest Dons / Fat) and released it a year and a half later. With two solid releases under their belt, and their fans eagerly awaiting the third album "Full Leather Jacket" (Honest Dons / Fat) was released in August of 2000. The band also did two splits along the way, one of them with Osaka, Japan's Spread which went on to sell over 20,000 copies in Japan alone, and more recently with Squirtgun (Asian Man). The band have also released numerous 7" records on Rhetoric, House of Pain, and VML Records, as well as a cover track on the Descendents' tribute album "Homage" on Coolidge Records.

With Kevin taking care of vocal duties, Phillip on guitar and vocals, Heather on bass and vocals, and Matt on the drums, the quartet adds up to a sound that is uniquely Teen Idols; full of speed and attitude that draws it's musical influences from the rebel rock of the 1950's, the pogo punk of the 1970's, and the pop punk of the 1990's. In fact, the Nashville Music Association nominated them for 1996 Independent Artist of the Year! The Teen Idols have headlined countless US tours and played support with many other bands like New Found Glory, Less Than Jake, Anti-Flag, NOFX, No Use For a Name, and the Queers. The band plan on touring non-stop in support of "Nothing to Prove."
