Former in the early 90s, Ten Foot Pole was originally known as Scared Straight but changed their name so as not to be confused with a straight edge band. The original songwriters from the band included "Nardcore" punks Scott Radinsky and Dennis Jagard. Radinsky later left the band and eventually formed Pulley. The band continues on with Dennis having taken over lead vocals.
