The Scarred, based in Anaheim California, first came together in 2003 and immediately garnered attention from DIY media outlets nationwide. After stirring up interest with their trademark live show The Scarred decided to released their debut full length CD, "Repression" (2004) on their own and hit the road. The album quickly went out of print and was immediately followed by a split 7"-inch with New Jersey's own, Void Control. After touring on the "Repression" record and split 7" for almost 2 years The Scarred had established themselves as one of the hardest working punk rock bands in the underground music scene and were quickly signed to New York's Punk Core Records. There they released their first and only full-length for the label, "No Solution" (2006). This was followed by an aggressive, non-stop tour schedule that included a sold-out US tour with former label-mates, Cheap Sex.
