Orange County punk act the Stitches formed in 1994 with singer Mike Lohrman responding to a flyer from drummer Johnny Sleeper that read "SINGER WANTED. CLASH DAMNED GENERATION X." Sleeper left the act in 1996, with Lohrman, guitarist Johnny Witmer and bassist Pete Archer remaining as the core of the band. The Stitches have released albums on a variety of independent labels Disaster, Gold Standard Laboratories, Suburbia, TKO, and Kapow.
