The L.A. punk scene's best kept secret (much to the perpetual frustration of their fans), the Weirdos have continued to be kept unjustly arcane over the years. There are probably a number of reasons they are always absent from the all time greats list. But what it really comes down to is that they never put out a proper album. only 5 comments..well 6 now? still criminally overlooked I see. shit I bought this in the mid-90's during my find all obscure LA punk from the 70's I could phase. Killer stuff. ugh, gotta get this fucker. this and the screamers material. Only three comments? Why? Hahaha. Well fat chance of proving that, as Darby Crash some of the best lyrics in the history of music. But hey... I agree. I might add that anyone hoping to have a record collection that is made up of vital punk bands from every corner of the globe, this collection of tracks is arguably ground zero for the Los Angeles scene. Placing it in this context, I would argue that the lyrics are much more socially and politically loaded than a band like the Germs or even the Flesh Eaters. I suppose it might be comparable to what Bad Religion did a bit later, however not often dealing with specifics like say, war or religion. i can't believe no one commented at all. fuckers need to get more musical growth.
