Ten Foot Pole has always been one of those bands in which I cannot understand why they don't have more fans. With their signing to Victory, I must say, I was a bit scared and dissappointed. Now don't get me wrong, there are good bands on Victory, but all of the few good bands have a tendency of leaving (except Catch 22), and the thought of Ten Foot Pole on a "Victory Records Tour 2002" with anyone other than Catch 22 is frightening. Good, but Insider, and Unleashed (which I just got) are better. This one's shorter, which I don't like, but i also don't like albums that are too long. Insider was the perfect length. Tfp is one of my favorite bands. Well now at first i was pretty dissapointed with the new TFP record but it's actually grown on me, favorite song "Nova Scotia' least favorites are 'Plastic" & 'Happy Daze" I'm probably not the first person to mention this, but isn't it funny how Tony Polermo's (old TFP drummer, current Pulley) entire acreer has consisted of taking jobs that Jordan Burns (Strung Out, ex-TFP and ex-Pulley) doesn't want anymore? SIGH... Check the liner notes in Rev. If Scott didn't write any of the lyrics then why did he get credit for them? He got credit for writing a song too ("Co-song" i think). Absolutely fucking awesome...this is why TFP is one of my favourite bands, and one of the best and hardest working bands in modern punkrock! Heh fuck you all, Scott isn't part of Ten Foot Pole, and he didn't even write the fucking lyrics when he was in it. You want to talk about Scott, go post comments on a Pulley cd somewhere. This album ruled. Screw the Getaway......John is by far the best song on the cd. I'd have to classify it as one of the most melodic punk songs ever....the production on this one stinks because RYAN GREENE did not record it...see how much of a difference he can make....RYAN GREEN is the master of melodic punk rock.....BUNG! poor production/ drumming on this disc. Ten Foot Pole rules...and they are cool enough to still take smaller unknown bands out on the road with them like Belvedere, Digger, and No On 15. "Rev" was and always will be the best Ten Foot Pole CD! Scott was a decent pitcher The Album Is Mediocre. Sad. The next one will rock. Rev wasn't as good as everyone tries to make out, I have a cool split that they did way back with the Satanic Surfers, and I say that was better. Unleashed is their best????Yes/No way to notice things. But seriously, that is my favorite song by them. I have the split they did way back with their old singer, and I have insider and one of their other albums, and the getaway is my favorite song by them. I don't have this album yet tho and I don't know if I will be purchasing it. Notice how Wuss-Emo picked the track off punk-o-rama. this band should have broken up when their bassist died. i cant believe there r people that didnt like this cd.i like all the the old tfp stuff, and thought this cd was great.i like every song on it except giving gravity a hand.my favorite is do it again where he talks about not making much money 4 the kind of music they play.an outstanding cd Thats one of the worst songs by TFP...but you probably haven't heard many of their songs anyway, wuss. Best song ever written by ten foot pole is....... (drum roll please)....... Yeah the only thing funnier is that they actually kicked him out of the band! Smart move geniuses. It's pretty funny how the only common thread in all TFP reviews for the last three albums is Scott. Pretty sad to say the least. Time to give it up guys. I cannot stand his vocals. They are absolutely horrible. I can think of only one song that I've liked since Unleashed. TFP lost me when Scott left. I'm a big Ten Foot Pole fan and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. "Unleashed" had raw, aggressive pop-punk melodies while "Insider" was super-polished and super-catchy. I thought this album would fall between but I think they rushed this album. It's better than all those wussy pop-punk bands, but TFP fans would be somewhat disappointed. REV=Great, in my opinion the lyrics and the guitar solos are by far the weakest parts of this album. the lyrics of plastic actually disgust me alot. the over art and title of this record make me never want to listen to it. LAME Generic, average, uninspired. Those are all words to decribe this album. You'd think with all that extra time to work on the album, they'd pump out one that is even better than their previous stellar efforts. I'd like to agree with the guy below the guy below me! best tfp album since unleashed I like TFP, I like Dennis over Scott, but this album is just shit. I loved everything they have done unleased on, but this is horribly generic even for a band that had a stable SoCal sound. I mean, fuck, what happened? Theres no kick, no nothing, maybe its the production, but the album title, with the songs on this record, i dont even want to recognize this as being a ten foot pole record. Its boring, even lyrically its a step back. Scott was pitching here for the Calgary Cannons (AAA affiliate of the Marlins) this year. Trying to stage his comeback from Tommy John surgery....but he kinda disappeared halfway through the season, and a month later Pulley was supposedly touring Europe...so I assume his baseball career is over. - bigjerk 1. You failed to acknowledge "Nova Scotia" as the best song on this album. He was released by the Indiands before this season started. In 2001 he pitched 2 innings for Cleveland, but that's the most recent info I could find. Maybe someone else might know if he pitched this year or not. This could quite possibly be the worst album name ever. Whats up with Scott these days anyways? Is he still pitching? Haven't heard anything about him in while... |
