| Ten Foot Pole / Trouble Islive in Ottawa, Ontario2002 live show Review by: Angele Lalonde See others by this writer Ten Foot Pole Official Site (link) Only registered users can post comments Published on December 10th 2002
The skate punk veterans Ten Foot Pole’s are at it again on tour with a pop-punk band from Jacksonville, Florida; ‘Trouble Is’. TFP have definitely been keeping busy, recently releasing a new record ‘Bad Mother Tucker’ on yes, Victory Records not Epitaph. In all honestly I wasn’t that much impressed with Epitaph’s work on TFP’s last album ‘Insider’ either. But after talking to Dennis (singer) it seems like TFP’s ready to admit some of their previous flaws and become the stable band he’s always wanted it to be even though he went through more shit than 15 pounds in a 10 pound bag to get there. So a new label, new members what the hell, they’re really a new band, no matter what their live shows always great and sells out in Ottawa almost every time. ok..i dont give a shit what u fucks say, tfp was FUCKING AMAZING on the 28th, if u like scotts voice more, listen to pulley, dont bitch about the amazing job dennis did on the vocals for all three albums he has done...rev was good, but unleashed is better..there BEST ALBUM, and bad mother trucker is an amazing title for a album, and it FUCKING RULES!! I dont get why you motherfuckers love that turd scott so much but hate dennis' vocals, scott wasn't that great. Unleashed was their best album. Oh well most of you are probably just poppy high school kids that don't know shit about real punk anyways :) I don't like post-Scott TFP, and I don't really like Pulley, but there's just something great about TFP with Scott. Rev is one goddamn good album. Bad Mother Trucker, sadly, is not. They always did put on a kick ass show though... no way, dennis rocks. but yeah what a dumb cd name. I concur. TFP has one of the worst vocalists ever. I was so disappointed when "Unleased" was released. Good thing there's Pulley! I'm a long time TFP fan, they played the first real punk show I went to back in 1995 with No Use For A Name. I like the new album, it's refreshing to hear some solid skate punk again. It's a hell of a lot better than all this emo crap that doesn't seem to stop being released lately. that new album is horrible. granted, i didn't like any others. but i got the new album to review, and i'm still trying to figure out words to explain how awful this is. and "bad mother trucker"? who are they trying to target with such a laughably bad album title? the small-shirts-and-mesh-back-hat crowd? hot water music's got that market covered, son. TFP has an awful, awful vocalist. |
