F.o.N’s album Adventures In Boredom is exactly that, an adventure in being bored to death by a melodic pop-punk that at least doesn’t take its sound from NOFX but instead plays what sounds like they took Pennywise’s Alien and used that for the basis of their sound. That’s strike one. They have seven members in the band, and they don’t play ska. What the fucks up with that? That just makes them try to hard to be arty and it really doesn’t come off, nor the two singers who sound so similar that is it really hard to tell them apart. Strike two. Let’s see can we go for 3, yes we can. The song topics aren’t that far from some of the more emoish pop-punk bands out there, focusing on topics like unpopularity A Day Too Late, confusion Fragile, and doing your thing and challenging what around you Professional Crastination, The Movement. You'll like this album if you: love Alien, let Teen People influence your musical tastes, are named Wuss Emo Rock. i saw this band in san diego with nerf herder a couple years back...i thought it was a joke...the keyboard player does a old school rap at the end...i seriosuly wanted them dead. dead. dead. dead. dead . dead. dead . dead. dead . ilan rubin makes this band. I watched them play at warped tour and couldnt even gather the energy to stand up they were so boring..... Hopefully Denver Harbor, will from fenix tx's new band, will be better. It has Ilan and drums, and his brother, who plays guitar in FON on guitar i think or bass or something. Oh well this album sucks anyways. That last line at the end makes the whole review. well, a band whose blueprint is "alien"... that sounds pretty good to me. too bad they don't pull it off that well. Fixed, moldy. "If you like this album if you" travis barker sucks? wow...you are amongst the most ignorant people on the face of the earth. i hate you. good point on the 7 member thing. seriously. This CD was absolutely terrible. May I say PiL rip off? There's nothing wrong with huge bands, but they need to find something to do with all those people. And Travis Barker sucked, sucks, and will suck in the future. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! | Features
