This DVD is a documentary of punk and hardcore music. The whole movie is interviews with various bands and fans outside shows. The special features are pretty good and the actual movie is good for the most part, it just seems kind of long and drawn out to me. But there is two pop bands in here, don't really know why they're in a punk/hardcore documentary. There is part of an MxPx show and an interview, and there is an interview with Blink 182 in the special features. Please login or register to post comments. alright. Good movie Yeah, but no footage of Lifetime at all, I was so hyped when I saw their name....fuck. Dan looks like a kid in their interview. and lifetime being on this vide just makes this bad ass. blink use to be considered cool to like. Yeah, we need this to tell stupid mall punks that punk started in the early 80s, now the mid 70s. My bad. I guess the hundreds of punk bands that had broken up by 1980 dont count. FUCK THIS SHIT. We dont need anymore documentaries about the "safe" era of punk!!! i liked it what an awful movie. Favorite line: this video is terrible aside from some funny comments here and there. there is so much footage of terrible bands and it is lacking a ton of footage on good bands. side note: wuss-emo-rock is the worst person in the world. i bought this on vhs ages ago, watched it once and loaned it to a friend who i still haven't gotten it back from. i totally forgot about it until seeing it's picture on this review. i'm not going to bother asking for it back i actually though this was a great documentary. i don't know what all of you are talking about. When I watched this DVD it proves how fucking stupid it is to go out a label a scene. I didn't like how it made out everyone to be big mean guys that just beat people up. I'm sorry I grew out of the "what punk means" phase a long long time ago. When I bought the DVD I was expecting live performances of the bands listed on the cover not necessarily a lame ass documentary so I think it is decieving in the since that it makes you think that there is more to it then just the lame ass documentary. i bought this lame ass thing years ago and was extremely dissapointed I saw this thing years ago. Man, there like 30 bands on the cover, and each of them get like 9 seconds of screen time. Theres nothing really revelant on this, I was pretty dissapointed. doesnt go into enough depth about the roots of punk... when it was something new and shocking. But its okay for what it is. to the guy who said he cant get it on PAL, go to www.interpunk.com, theyve got it there. X straight edge in your face x I think its really interesting to hear the band's point of view on music and the scene. Even if its a five year old movie. whats his name from Face To Face comes off arrogant as shit. The only interesting part from the DVD was the Documentary itself. Most of the bands they interviewed were pretty boring, especially "Blink". Good Riddance was awesome though, even if they only had 20 sec of thier footage. the moshing 101 is by far the most entertaining part of the dvd. definitely worth the money. i've been wanting this dvd for a year now.. god damn... This DVD was a total let down. It heavily advertised Bad Religion, yet all we get is a very short Greg Graffin interview. And there isn't a single performance of a single song by any band on here in its entirety. I understand what the filmaker wanted to do, but this thing just drags on. |
