I got to this show somewhat early and surprisingly enough Bottom of the Hill opened their doors about 10 minutes before it said they were going to on their website. Having stuff like that happen always puts me in a good mood. My friend had to take some photos of The Walkmen before the show and I got to meet a couple of the guys from the band. Once my friend got taking photos of them we went back inside the venue. Apollo Sunshine was doing a sound check and were sounding really good. I was somewhat surprised because what I had heard online didn’t really do much for me, so I was glad that they sounded so good. Please login or register to post comments. wow. talk about the apollo sunshine bit being true. cant turn on the radio without hearing i was on the moon when you were born. Uh huh, yeah. Can you please point out where I said anything bad about either of those bands? cept the strokes are awesome, tool Hot Hot Heat are alright and all, but I guarantee in a year from now you all will be lumping them in with the Strokes and the Hives and going on about how much they suck. sorry champ, but the walkmen played, and sold out, the bottom of the hill just a few months ago. IowaNick....obviously you don't pay much attention around here. REALPUNX4LIFE's name is a total joke. The rest of us get it, why can't you? God, I really hate idiocy. That is one shit conversation. yes. he uses the number 4 to represent the word 'for'. I'm the only person that can pull off conversations at shows in my reviews. word. a nice review, i really like the walkmen and i'll keep an ear open for apollo sunshine. but i must agree with realpunx4life (by the way, if he did spell his "4" it would be "for" not "four") and add that predicting a bands last song is pretty dang easy. it's the hit that they haven't played yet. it's usually pretty obvious. Dear REALPUNX4LIFE, WHOA! Your friend actually predicted what the last song would be?! Awesome! Ask him what tomorrow's lotto numbers will be. For the person that wants hot hot heat to headline, the bands have actually been switching it up so that one night the walkmen headline and the next night hot hot heat headline, and so on, and so on. this helps prevent the dick measuring between bands. so if the tour comes to philly hopefully hot hot heat will be in line to headline. woefully i don't think this tour is coming to the east coast, i think its a west coast thing. personally, i could care less who headlines, i just wanted this tour to come to new york. guess not. I'm not in the know. Never heard Hot Hot Heat. Can I get mp3's anywhere? saw hot hot heat in september in winnipeg, 4 dollar cover, about 50 people there tops, good time hot hot heat is a great bnd - bigjerk both bands are great. i was just hoping this tour would be coming to nyc. but unfortunately, no. the walkmen are pretty mellow, but they have some really beautiful songs with great arrangements. their full length is a great album. hot hot heat just plain rock. What a great sounding show, wish I could see this tour, but it should be the other way around, Hot hot heat needs to headline! ....and to play philly The Hot Hot Heat rock. I'm looking forward to seeing them someday. i wish hot hot heat would play here. |
