Remember when punk wasn’t always about being innovative and trying to branch out and create a new sound. When it was more about getting together with your friends and playing fast, energetic rock that you could kick up a pit to, but had some social and political conscious to give you something to think about. Well the Forgotten sure do and they prove it this new/old album. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
There would be no punk, as we know it. There would have been some big underground movement, but it would probably be not nearly as fun or flexible. Probably an extension of prog rock, or maybe pub rock. Either way, it would not have lasted this long, and it would have sucked. "uhh... if the Ramones hadn't been around, punk still would be here. contrary to belief, there was "punk" music before the ramones. It was inevitable." "uhh... if the Ramones hadn't been around, punk still would be here. contrary to belief, there was "punk" music before the ramones. It was inevitable." uhh... if the Ramones hadn't been around, punk still would be here. contrary to belief, there was "punk" music before the ramones. It was inevitable. "Remember when punk wasn’t always about being innovative and trying to branch out and create a new sound" don't know where he came from. all i know is if the ramones weren't around, punknews.org wouldn't be around either. what a jackoff. "Dude, the Ramones fucking suck. If the Ramones had never existed, pop punk would not be around. Talk about sounding the same? EVERY FUCKING RAMONES RECORD SOUNDS THE SAME. They didn't play punk rock, they played three-chord pop songs. Fuck the Ramones." On Monday night The Unseen and The Forgotten played in Cincinnati Ohio. Pretty good show....The forgotten is really good live The guy below me is a god damned moron. Thats all there is to it. Dude, the Ramones fucking suck. If the Ramones had never existed, pop punk would not be around. Talk about sounding the same? EVERY FUCKING RAMONES RECORD SOUNDS THE SAME. They didn't play punk rock, they played three-chord pop songs. Fuck the Ramones. the best part about this album is that I got it used, for half the price, on the day it was released. Hooray for me! I haven't heard this yet, but all of their other albums have kicked some ass. how about we don't say what punk is and what punk isn't and we listen to some fucking ramones how about that "Remember when punk wasn’t always about being innovative and trying to branch out and create a new sound." i dunno know about the midwest but i do know east coast tour is a lock. the best thing about this record is how original the cover looks. are they oming to the midwest with that tour cause f minus and forgotten would be awsome together great band. just a heads up for all you east coasters: east coast tour in august with the forgotten, F-MINUS, and a global threat. looking forward to it. |
