you are a fucking faggot!!! senses fail is beyond good! senses fail fuckin rocks so fuck whoever disses them and shit!!!!!!! your a fuckin idiot by the way...i was at the salt lake city show and celebrity got their asses kicked, not the bassist from the beautiful mistake. he was inside watching hopesfall until all of that stuff went down and he tried to help celebrity with the every time i die guys...i saw him and talked to him after the show you fuckin idiot. I saw SENSES FAIL opening night for the Drive Thru Invasion Tour, and if anyone was to ask for my opinion they were the best. SENSES FAIL kicks ass on recordings, and LIVE ! hey dude senses fail is cool! if you talk shit well then fuck off "Pretty sure they're not, but that doesn't automatically exclude them from being a good band." shit man, where to begin...the beautiful mistake really ate ass, the bassist is what pissed me off the most about them, and everyone else was all wtf, only like 2 people were like getting into it! They would have been alright if the bassist just wasnt even there, he fucking just pissed me off. But Senses fail, they actually got me pumped up and stoked to go in and jump around, also that was the first time i heard them, and they sounded rad then. But after hearing them there, they're almost one of my new favorite bands...Brand new kicked ass.... Senses fail sucks far beyond any persons mental capacity could handle. i dont like u... i think if u dont like senses fail... maybe you shouldnt have to put it down on a website and i am in love with senses fail and thats just not right.. and if u think they r soooo fucking bad ... whats there to talk about..?? other people ( like me ) dont like wat u like.. and just go scare all thier fucking fans away.. i am going to their concert and go there cd huh like that? or u r gonna bitch about that 2??? u r such a friggin loser .moneen. is easily the best band of that bunch. They out on a crazy-go-nuts show. olah! i was one of the girls that almost got into a cat fight...i have to say, i have been to many shows at the metro and i have never encountered a girl so...so...moronic than that thirteen year old girl standing behind me. ITS A FUCKING CONCERT!! what did she expect? i wanted to poke her in the eye but my better judgement said to just make peace so i could enjoy the rest of the show. It actually seems that there are more and more younger girls going to concerts and complaining and ruining it for the rest of the crowd...i dont know if its because these bands were more poppy then ones i have been to in the past, or if it's that their Seventeen and YM magazines are telling them that punk concerts are where it's at. ANYWAYS...Brand New fucking wrocked! whoever said they sucked live has obviously never seen a band, actually, suck live. The Beautiful Mistake felt like an hour? I kid you not, more like three. Oh, and i saw that jock who made it to the bar...yup, that was pretty damn funny...i think he actually had a couple people being pulverized under him. you paid 8 bucks for parking? what a chump... for all the people debating over creepy crawl. in my experience that place kicks ass if you've only been there a few times, but once the novelty wears off it sucks. the guys who run it are jerks and frankly it's not the greatest place to see a show. i'd go for mississippi nights or the hi-pointe any day over creepy crawl. shit... i forgot the star rating. each band has 3.33 stars. Giving Chase got 3.33. Senses Fail gets -2. and brand new gets .67. for a total of 2 stars. I saw this show in State College, PA. Interscope and Vagrant were there. Senses Fail was terrible, but we hardcore danced just to kick emo kids in the head. Jesse Lacey was horrible. He couldn't carry a tune. My friends Giving Chase opened the show and were by far the best band and nobody cared except for five of us. "i seen this show in mpls at the ascot room and all but brand new did an outstanding job. so fuck you on your horrilbe review" You "seen" this show? I'll tell you what I "seen" and thats horrible grammar. And the reviewer was at a different show than you, so do you think maybe that those bands you like were off that night? A definate possibility. this kid is a fuckin dumb ass. does this guy have any room to give these bands the least bit of shit. if i knew who u were i would kick your ass. the only thing i would have to agree with is that moneen fuckin kicks as. senses fail also kicks ass, that abnd doesnt sound like finch the least bit u fuckin retard. i seen this show in mpls at the ascot room and all but brand new did an outstanding job. so fuck you on your horrilbe review I just saw these guys in Boulder, and I have to say that I love Senses Fail...my nickname doesn't give away the fact that I've been listening to their ep constantly since I got it, does it?...I was most excited to see them and when their album comes out in January, I'll be there. I'm very sad to say that I missed Moneen...I really wanted to see them. What was The Beautiful Mistake doing so high up on the list? That surprised me...and they broke my nose...really...when the singer jumped into the audience, he kicked my face and now I really think my nose is broken...hurts like hell...lol...now there's a story for the kids. Brandnew did an awesome job though and I gotta say that now I'm a bigger fan than before. They are one of the most appreciative bands I've ever seen, and that earns them alot of my respect. Also, the audience was awesome...one of the best crowds I've ever been a part...is there anything better than sharing the pit with 500 other kids all singing together to your favorite songs?...I think not. i was the guy worried about the frat guy bashing. i do realize that alot of frat guys are lame meatheads, i'm just saying its annoying when anytime theres some jock ass hole at a show, he's automatically labeled a frat boy. punk/indy/whatever people always tend to use only negative connotations with frat guys, like 'man i hope theres no lame 14 year old girls or frat guys at this show', like anyone in a frat couldnt possibly have any idea about music or have any punk values or some shit like that. most people are really surprised when the find out i'm in a frat. oh well. For the guy worried about the frat boy stereotyping, I know a moron when I see one (or in this case a reasonably large group of them), and the group in particular that I'm talking about all wore fraternity lettered shirts. They also weren't doing much to combat the stereotypes either... The Beautiful Mistake is great. They're music doesn't exactly rock like these other bands (minus senses fails), but it's definatly good music. "(my turn to stereotype) elitist, buttons-on-the-sideways-bookbag, geoff from thursday haired , vegan indy punk kid." Wrong, Im a vegetarian, go hit a bong and finger bang a high school chick...bra! I like the beautiful mistake. They are kind of like my guilty pleasure. Please explain your comment. The lead singer definitely didn't "perform", so how could he tell the bassist that? and how would you know this? >>Did anyone else catch the beautiful mistake's bassist licking the neck of his base? who does he think he is, gene simmons? Did anyone else catch the beautiful mistake's bassist licking the neck of his base? who does he think he is, gene simmons? I just saw these bands in Iowa City last night and I enjoyed all 4 bands. The crowd was having fun but being polite, which was cool. I am a big fan of moneen, but I feel that lyrically, they lack A LOT. They repeat the same line over and over quite a bit, like "are we really happy with who we are right now? yes we are really happy with who we are right now." I think the beautiful mistake can't get the crowd going cause their songs really don't explode anywhere, they just kinda hang around...just my opinion though. can everyone stop bashing frat boys? i love how punk/indy/emo whatever people think theyre so enlightened and independent and open minded, yet stereotype anyone in a fraternity as being some apelike meathead football player. i'm in a fraternity, i've never played sports, i rarely lift and i really like music, and play drums. i like going to shows, and i never mosh. so stop stereotyping, not all frat guys are meatheads, and some might know as much about music as (my turn to stereotype) elitist, buttons-on-the-sideways-bookbag, geoff from thursday haired , vegan indy punk kid. i was at the pittsburgh show, it was good, but yea, brand new need to bust out longer sets. i remember back in the day when bands like lessthanjake or the suicide machines would play 20-25 songs for 8 bux. brand new only played 14, granted their songs are relatively long compared to most 'punk' type bands, but still, headliners should break an hour. and most of these young bands dont'. weak. Creepy Crawl in St. Louis sucks!!! You'd figure that since the Beautiful Mistake bassist got his ass kicked in that Celebrity fight in SLC that he wouldn't be all like that anymore... i'm really happy with the look of the setlist, but i'm hoping the show tomorrow will be longer. "it's good to know..." is such an incredible song. " Pretty sure they're not, but that doesn't automatically exclude them from being a good band. Is it just me or does Scott seem to hate everyone younger than him? I understand the prejudice of Delta Fagga Cappa frat boy situations, but c'mon, I was at the show and I'm a sophmore. Sorry for not being born 10 years earlier. "You guys should do a review on the Creepy Crawl and how much it sucks my balls. God !! I am never going to another show there ever....EVER!!! I HATE the Creepy Crawl!! BURN DOWN!! "I drove 2 hours to get to the show in St.Louis, was the first one in line, and waited for 4 and half hours, and they told us we'd be able to get in even though we didn't all preorder the tickets, but that didn't happen and we were all wicked pissed. I'd say it had something to do with the fire marshall guy showing up before the show, but the Creepy Crawl people were really dicks." One more thing, I also thought it was odd that they didn't play The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows in La Crosse. I went to the show in La Crosse, WI last night. I was shocked how many people were only there for Senses Fail. When I went to buy my Brand New poster and shirt, I waited in a big line only to find out that all the kids were buying Senses Fail's shit. There were probably 150 people there at the most, and the place was half empty. Moneen played really well, I like them a lot, their guitarist/singer is fucking insane. But they were all nice guys Senses Fail played good. I talked to their drummer, he was a cock. So I lost any respect I had for them. Brand New came on and played to maybe 100-120 people (several idiots left after Senses Fail) and they were outstanding. The tempereature in the place was incredibly hot, so they said they were going to play a lot of slow songs. They played all the slow songs on Deja Entendu, plus Soco and No Seatbelt Song. I then talked to Jesse and Brian. They were both really cool guys and surprised that I drove all the way out from Milwaukee for them on the 4th of July. Brand New lit off a few fireworks later and a good time was had by all. There's my experience. Pretty sure they're not, but that doesn't automatically exclude them from being a good band. moneen owns all these bands. the new brand new album is good, ill give the credit where it is due. but moneen is light years ahead of any of the bands that played the show. This show was absolutely amazing. Brand New never seems to disappoint. The first time I saw them, I had never heard of them and they blew me away. Bought YFW from them and was even more blown away when I was able to hear/better understand the lyrics. I had been looking forward to DE for what felt like a lifetime, and was once again completely amazed and shocked that they continue to impress me. Then this show solidified it. Even annoying 13/14 year old girls, and more than a handful of moronic frat boys (I saw plenty of the bastards too Scott) couldn't detract from an amazing Brand New set. Moneen was really good too, Beautiful Mistake wasn't bad but left me wanting something more that I couldn't quite put my finger on. And as for Senses Fail...Jesus they irritate me. It has nothing to do with a Drive-Thru bias or anything, but somehow I wish they'd go away for 5 years and come back with real life experience and get rid of their attempts at "mature" subject matter. Something feels wrong when I barely feel like they're old enough to smoke...Whatever, with Drive-Thru they have virtual success in hand. "Senses Fail is pretty annoying. Aren't they all high school kids? " to be able to "get" moneen, you have to get to know moneen. the nicest people in music today. and it's really not that hard to "get" anyway. just listen, you'll see. You guys should do a review on the Creepy Crawl and how much it sucks my balls. God !! I am never going to another show there ever....EVER!!! I HATE the Creepy Crawl!! BURN DOWN!! I drove 2 hours to get to the show in St.Louis, was the first one in line, and waited for 4 and half hours, and they told us we'd be able to get in even though we didn't all preorder the tickets, but that didn't happen and we were all wicked pissed. I'd say it had something to do with the fire marshall guy showing up before the show, but the Creepy Crawl people were really dicks. It was a good show in St. Louis, I love the Creepy Crawl, it's the best venue in St. Louis. And if bigger bands start playing there (lately Brand New, The Movielife, Further Seems Forever, Strung Out have) it will be even better. They did fuck up the advance tickets thing and it took forever to get in not to mention that it got started late and Moneen only played like 4 songs, one of which I was still outside for, however...they still kicked ass and so did Brand New. I'm sure both will be back soon and hopefully to the Creepy. for some reason, this show was at a venue in st. louis with a capacity of only 175. so many people were there to see moneen, and didn't get in, that moneen was selling copies of their new cd out of the back door. to be able to "get" moneen, you have to get to know moneen. the nicest people in music today. and it's really not that hard to "get" anyway. just listen, you'll see. yeah, not to make this show even worse scott, but that thursday show was incredible...single best show i've ever been to I just don't "get" Moneen. Senses Fail is pretty annoying. Aren't they all high school kids? The Beautiful Mistake is ok if there's nothing else to listen to. Brand New is good. im confused you said senses fail played a shitfest of a set, sucks ass, etc. but you confused them for finch and went back to see them. so do you liek finch and just dislike senses fail for being a poor mans finch? i dunno just feel like picking at the details the thursday show was fucking amazing |
