Meh. That was my first reaction to this album. At the time I purchased this cd, I was starting to obsess over Burn, Piano Island, Burn. The dual vocal shrieking, the dual vocal singing, the random yet catchy guitar riffs, the distorted bass, and the hectic drumming were something that I had never heard or experienced before. At some points extremely chaotic, and at others very melodic – I could tell this band was very different from anything I had heard before. Yippee! the blood brothers arent emo you ignorant fucks... if you cannot see that the blood brothers are an incredibly innovative and talented band than you are a dumb fucker who probably listens to shitty music, has no concept of music theory, or doesnt play a musical instrument at all... continue listening to your repetitive bullshit music that all sounds the same... the blood brothers kick ass... you need to stop being such a close minded homophobic jackass to enjoy creative, talented, music.... like the blood brothers... i think anyone who understand music theory can appreciate the blood brothers... Fuckin right man we still listen to Black Flag and Pennywise, cause they definatly arint trendy. i'm glad i got sick of the blood brothers at just about the same time all of you kids (especially the reviewer) started liking them. otherwise, i might have felt kind of uncool. i dont know, i downloaded some of this to see what it was all about. it wasn't bad, i kinda liked it, which is more than i can say about cursive and all the 'hype' surrounding them. College cost just went up 21% in the state I live in... So now not even us spoilt whiteys of the lower middle class could afford it. *manditory blood brothers suck comment* The hold me down thing was a play on words of what BSD said, just in case you didnt catch on to that. Outside of that, I dont see how I said the government is holding me down. Actually, they are the only one helping me, as they give me aid regardless of color, which I find rather ironic. Almost all scholarships are run by business/individuals, so you could say I blame the theory that if your white you got it made. Or maybe I blame colleges for costing so damn much. Or maybe I blame our society for making me have to go to college to become the proffession of my choice. Or maybe I blame you for insulting me, and not giving any reasons why. I said it once, and Ill say it again. Rascism works both ways. Give aid based on need. And most importantly, fuck you. Once again another crappy one line dis from the ignorant prick BSD Burn piano island burn and this cd makes my throat bleed their so good. MMmmm blood. Fucking awesome. Love this band. Love this CD. No idea about the lyrics though. Can anyone say OVERRATED? I can don't say motherfucker, motherfucker so many people have a hard on for this band and i don't understand why it's great, but it's too emo whiny. it's great, but it's too emo whiny. |
