With the breakup of seminal angst-rock band Far in the mid-nineties, people wondered what would happen to their members. Singer Jonah took the more indie-pop route, with his solo Onelinedrawing recordings, as well as an uber-poppy album from New End Original. Fans of Far were slightly baffled at this move, as Far, while being rather melodic, was still very heavy and somewhat dark at times. So where did all the frustration go? oh shit i just fucked up yeah as soon as i posted that it sounded like the comic book guy. i apologize. this scores for the singer of this band not wanting jonah to play Far songs live. well, the comment about the generic crap was me. I just didnt realize i wasnt logged in. Just thought id let everyone know. i don't really see how having some name pop up when i type shit makes me accountable. i think it's better this one 'cause there's not worries about offending someone, cause hey, i'm just an anonymous! angst rock seems right to me, and how about you get an account so you can at least be accountable for the stuff you say. Generic made for radio crap. Buddyhead sure can pick em. "To the anonymous person below me: I think Durst also had something to do with the completely unnecessary Parental Advisory sticker. One fuck and one shit logicly wouldn't declare something unfit for minors, unless your broham demographic shows that kids want things that piss off thier parents. The Who cussed more than these guys do. its much poppier than far, except possibly that song that has the line, " falling up a flight of stairs" sorry scott To the anonymous person below me: scott, what really bothers me about your reviews is you always start them with some preface where you go on and on about the band's history and significance and it usually sounds like you know jack shit about what you're talking about. your comments on far are case in point. you should work on that (constructive criticism, not an attack). yeah, a boring album from Buddyhead's favorite new nemesis. Yawn. "The only blatant Durst-ism on the disc is the misspelling of "Barrel" in the liner notes. I don't know how, but he had to be responsible for that fuckup." |
