Before I begin reviewing the show, I'd just like to say that throwing in "OI OI UP THE PUNX" is completely unnecessary. Yes, it was cool.. before it was done for the 2000th time. I know, I know.. you'll just have to find some other sort of way to be witty, okay? On to the actual review.

im totally gonna go the casualties are like the soundtrack to my life i love what there doing....taking on the world!!!!!!!!!!!!! all the people out there who are complaining/argueing over the nancy sinatra song are a bunch of losers....why don't you all agree that it's pretty much a "traditional" arranged by a different punk band every year. You were complaining about 5 songs from Blackout??? When they played in Rochester they played 11 songs off Blackout! Two of the three songs they skipped were "This is your life" and "Kiss me i'm shitfaced". I'm so glad they didn't paly "shitfaced". That ties the "Spicy Mchaggis Jig" as my LEAST favorite DKM song ever. they just are d00d I'd like to know how the casulties are sell-outs Operation Ivy titled their song One of These Days. The original, sung by Nancy Sinatra and written by Lee Hazlewood, was entitled These Boots Are Made for Walkin'. The version that played before Roger Miret & the Disasters took the stage was the original, by Nancy Sinatra, and thus would be titled These Boots Are Made for Walkin'. It's a great song, and anyone who enjoyed Operation Ivy's rendition should go and at least download the original off Kazaa or something. I'm not sure why Operation Ivy felt the need to change the name of the track, but the fact that all of the versus were left out of OpIv's version might have something to do with it. Sadly, I didn't learn all this till after I wrote the review up, or I would have included something about it in the review, but oh well. To the guy that supports pogoing Thanks for the reply Edgie. I was just kind of shocked that Agnostic Front got the crowd singing along so quick. I didn't know the words but did do the little "Oi Oi Oi!" part while many others circle pitted you crazy pitsers! LOL. First of all, "One of These Days" is actually called "These Boots Are Made For Walking". Yeah, there was a pretty big response to Gotta Go, definately bigger than any other song they played. I'm not sure how many kids up in the front were singing, but I know a lot of kids were singing while circle pitting, myself included. Nice review but one question: did everyone go nuts and sing along when Roger did "Gotta Go?" When I saw Agnostic Front this summer at the Fiend Fest, they really elicited a strong response from the crowd on that tune (myself included). "stick the fucking flag up your goddamn ass, you skinhead creep" -propaghandi i thought punk was dead, ohh wait, yea it is, the casualties are sell outs you, below me, are a jackass. I like the Casualties cuz they're fun, just because their music isn't trying to give you some great epiphany, or trying to be the greatest piece of art ever doesn't mean they're not worthwile, i like both stupid and smart music Well, the reason you only hear from the kids who hate the casualties is simply because they are the only ones who can read and write. and also, 7 Seconds and Government Issue covered "One Of these Days." telling people not to make obvious jokes is just as dumb as people making the stupid jokes. Roger Miret IS the singer of Agnostic Front, and both Agnostoc Front and Roger Miret and the Disasters have both headlined shows. Although the former at larger venues than the latter. And the Casualties did a headlining tour last year around this time of year. Roger Miret is the lead singer of Agnostic Front, and unless there's two people with that name that just so happen to be frontment of street punk bands, I'd assume that the Roger Miret of Roger Miret and the Disasters is the same Roger Miret as the one that Sings for Agnostic Front(there now i won't look like a moron if that crazy chance happening happens) bite me. lol. what kind of a dumb name is roger miret anyways? and what stupid band was he in for crying out loud? Please say that was a joke. and what band would that be dumbass? this roger miret fellow sounds like a douche. roger & the distasters: A damn fine band that'd be just as comfortable headlining shows as opening them. Oi oi oi its teh casaulities up the punx!!! oi oi oi |
