Hmm...you’re right, the singy-screamy thing is probably now the most cliched style of music being tried right now. However, you did click on this review, so the question on the tip of your tongue is - are these guys just going through the motions like some of the others? i love these guys, they rock. p.s. they are from my home town!!!! So these guys wen to the same school I go to and they came back to play today. They are not my cup of tea (live, I have never heard what their cd sounds like with more pronounced synth and vocals), but I gotta say goddamn did they bring the fucking music. These guys played their fucking hearts out for a high school. That shows something that most local bands don't show. They at leats remember how cool it is to see a band who gives a damn. Hopefully they continue to give that damn and I'll go see them even if their music doesn't do it for me to support one band that has some heart. I was in a band that played with these kids in 2001. They are still playing the same songs. They should maybe write some new material. I have respect for the members, however every song is the same and they have not grown in 4 years, just bought better equipment. You wanna see a guy scream his heart out on stage, go to a hardcore show and don't be a zumiez pussy. "Check it, I've been in this scene for about 3 years now. Thursday, Thrice, CoCa, All amazing bands. By the way don't you dare diss on The Used. And don't talk shit and try to be original by dissing on the "Screamo" scene. There is a reason why it's so big right now, and it has to do with live shows and how intense and emotional seeing someone scream their heart out in front of you is. If you've seen SKSK you know they put on a live show that hold with the greats,(Saves the Day, AFI, The Early November.) Fucking Emotion, call it trendy, Scary Kids has a sound and maturity in their music that most bands never achieve, Being that I am an enthusiast of music, I think every band has their own sound. The singer to Scary Kids has one of the most unique and amazing voices in this category of music, so give some AZ pride, They fucking rock. I'm out I just moved from NY to AZ... when i was in NY i discovered Scary Kids Scaring Kids on purevolume.com and they sounded so f*ckin awesome! As soon as i moved here i sarted school at Highland High & there was this really hott guy in my art class wearing a Scary Kids Scaring Kids shirt, so i said to the girl next to me... "have u ever heard that band? they're awesome!" and she said yeah,... that guy is Chad's brother! uh oh! haha. i used to buy weed from the singer. so theyre pretty cool in my book. I grew up with these guys. These guys are kick ass as fuck and have always been around for great times. I base the great times I have shared with them and others around their music. I have recently been gone for almost a year and have come back to see their succuss. I hope for it to perpetuate and fop all of them to make great choices. I grew up with these guys. Because if they were like that, there wouldn't be anything fun and interesting about their music like there is now. Scary Kids is one of the BEST local bands here in Gilbert and I hope that they keep going with their music because it kicks ass! To all the guys: Keep rocking out because you guys fucking RULE!!! You guys are a bunch of assholes, I mean seriosuly they just got out of highschool. and they are most likely better then any of your bands out there (if you fuckers are in one). and the name is more original then and other bands name. every bands name is emo or some shit and it's gay. I like the synth and I like the screaming, but as with most other bands similar to this, I don't like the singing. Not bad, but not amazing. someone already mentioned thursday but goddamn...this IS thursday...at least my knife your throat... Well, I listened to a few mp3s and im going to have to say this band has some songs almost identical to Thursday... they arn't bad, infact, I thought a few songs were really good. Scott, change this to a 4/5 for me...it definitely grew on me... i suppose i'll take a listen.. This review was good, but here's how I'd make it better: This shit is darker then Davey Havok's new eye shadow! This band name is shit. Have you ever danced in the shadows of the dark moonlight? nice review. made me really interested to hear these songs, which are pretty good.
