Published on December 23rd 2003 If you like Drive Thru Records, you will like this DVD. If you do not like Drive Thru Records, nothing on this DVD will make you change your mind. Ok, I admit, I used to like Drive Thru bands alot more than I do now. But then came The Starting Line's overproduced "Say it Like You Mean it," and every release since (save "The Resignation" by the Rx Bandits) has been the same cookie-cutter pop emo rock. Included on this DVD are music videos, live videos, a few interviews, an extensive photo gallery, and videos of the DTR bands fucking around, and generally acting immature. As far as the videos go, nothing spectacular. Finch's video for "Worms of The Earth" takes the cake for the best, but thats not saying much. It seems to have some vampire/morbid/dark theme going on, but in the end, they're playing in a dark, rainy alley for some reason. The Starting Line's video for "Leaving" actually has a nice plot line to match the song, and it's rewarding if you can make it through the entire thing, repetitive chorus after repetitive chrous. The majority of the live videos came from last year's Skate and Surf Fest. They all have a really good fix, and pretty good camera work. The Starting Line's acoustic song is actually better than all of their other stuff, too bad they made sure that this "wasn't the direction" they were going in. Senses Fail showed that they all need singing lessons if they expect to be Finch. The best live video? The RxBandits performing "Decrescendo" from Imusiccast, but what did you expect? Matt Embree has more talent in his left hand that the Starting Line could ever hope to have. Embree and sax player Steve Borth are also featured in the "acoustic" section doing a rendition of Pal-Treux that is also quite good. There's some interview stuff, where Senses Fail vandalizes a house, Allister tells a story about how they got ripped off, etc, etc. But if you're not a fan of the bands, you simply don't care. I sure didn't.
Well, it was $9.99 at Best Buy, and I was hoping that there would be more RxBandits stuff, alas there was not. Like I started out with, if you like the bands, get it, if you don't, stay away.

reviewer of this dvd, i completely disagree with your opinion. granted, if you don't like dtr bands, it won't be as meaningful to you, but there is enough hilarity in this dvd to last for years of quoting. anyone with a sense of humor can enjoy it. and if you do enjoy good music, there's plenty of that on here as well. so it gets three and a half stars for being a shitty dvd? come on. And what's so bad about a douche, sir? You sexist arsehole! I'm sensing quite a bit of homophobia. Give it up. I understand it's part of your vernacular(everyday speech), but try to change it. Say something other than gay to describe something you don't like. Example: Drive-Thru Records is such faggy shit. Wow, if I was still 14 and I chopped my dick off, I might actually be able to tolerate this DVD......might. Nah. Shit Sandwitch is an awsome label! you dont know what your talking about. rx bandits are one of the best bands live....(this score is for the person that made that commment) "This sucks. OI OI OI ! when i think of midtown (and i don't abhor ALL of their songs) i imagine my anus turning into the anus of a cow or a horse. i've heard underworld was a quite good movie. this is coming from a credible source. i thought it looked really cool, but it seemed to be in the theaters for like 2 days. I paid twenty bucks to see the Rx Bandits this summer, it was the best twenty bucks I've ever spent. Yeah, I look forward to the second one even more... (Underworld that is) i actually liked underworld. This looks like type of a christmas present you'd give to a person you really hate. The Finch video if for the film Underworld... that's why it's all goth and everything. One of the best Finch songs yet. dumbass kids acting like they own the world cause they're on drive-thru... with plenty of homophobia to boot! hm...it makes me wonder why rx bandits continue to tour with the same crappy pop punk bands, and still continue to be on this label. midtown is not on this, i only bought this for movie life and rxbandits... decresendo is nice and so is pal truex... but seriously bandits... PUT A SHIRT ON..peace ok i take it back... its only everything ive herd on drive thru blows drive thru blows Dark, rainy alleys are cool places to shoot a video! Look at AFI - plenty of opportunity to swing your girlie hair about in the rain. rx bandits really deserve better than to be associated with this horrible label. acoustic pal-treax. mmmm "Boy, I hope my stocking gets stuffed with this on Christmas!
