Bad Religion - New Maps of Hell (Deluxe)

So there I was, with a crucial decision to make. $8.00 for a compilation of songs I already own, or take a chance that this is actually a compilation of all live songs?

Let me start by telling you that I am not a gambling man. I'll occasionally splurge every now and then and get a scratch lottery ticket, or bet with friends on various sports events. Hell, I even tried to play that 'Big Game' Pick 6 shit. I didn't know what the hell I was doing. But I don't gamble with compilations.

It started one night in Tower Records. I usually avoid this hell-hole, but it was 11:00 pm and I had nothing better to do. So I'm thumbing through rows and rows of crap (what else would you expect at Tower) when I come across this compilation, "World Warped 3 Live". I wondered to myself, 'Is this really a compilation of 25 live songs?' Too good to be true. I had heard nothing of this comp, but then again who the hell am I? So I was at a mental crossroad, spend $8 on either an awesome, live comp, or a bunch of songs I already own. I walked to the register, CD in hand.

As I got into my truck, I quickly ripped open the plastic to determine if I had made the correct decision. Song 1: Dropkick Murphys: Barroom Hero, its live alright! And damn good! But would this be like other Warped Comp's, some studio, some live? I frantically searched through the remaining songs, and all the way to song 25: Anti-Flag: New Kind of Army, all were live with excellent quality. Success! The big payoff! Fuck the VA Lottery! I am a winner.

So, the best songs? Here we go: 1. Dropkick Murphy's: Barroom Hero: (need you even ask why)
4. Less than Jake: Liquor Store: an LTJ classic, includes a little heckling with the crowd.
5. 7 Seconds: Sooner or Later: its 7 Seconds, no reason needed.
7. NOFX: Please Play this Song on the Radio: one of may fav's, I've seen NOfX about a zillion times and have only heard them play this once, listen to FAT Mike slur when he sings.
9. Hot Water Music: Better Sense: I know its from "Live at the Hardback", but these guys rock.
10. Gob: Custer's Last 1 Nite Stand: This song is funny as shit.
18. H20: FTTW: What can I say, they give a shout out to VA. Gotta love it.
21. Flogging Molly: Every Dog Has it's Day: if you've never seen them live, you'll sell organs for the $ after listening to this.
22. One Man Army: All Your Friends: Awesome, rockin' Bay-Punk.
24. Bad Religion: Hear It: 2 reasons, a.- Its Bad Religion-you better damn well listen, b.- its 1 of the few good songs from "No Substance".
25. Anti-Flag: New Kind of Army: Not my idea of the best track to close this comp out, but I still love this song.

By far this is one of the best comp's ever. You'd be a retard not to buy it. I guess we all need to gamble a little in life, take chances, etc. It can payoff with some good shit to listen to.
