The minute I saw that Stretch Arm Strong was playing with Between the Buried and Me and Terror on the Made Tour, I knew I was going. The tour is a follow up to last year’s Made Tour that had The Movielife and Further Seems Forever on the bill. Please login or register to post comments. everyone check this out...www.trenchfoot.net All you guys that are saying BTBAM isn't talented and really shitty need to shut the fuck up. I want to see you guys go out every night and play shows in front of small amounts of people with so much energy. I personally like BTBAM more then any of the bands you are talking about and they undoubtedly have some of the best talent around these days. Do yourself a favour and check out Day of Contempt. Holy Shit they are a fucking good band !!! If they were, do you think they'd get more than 20 people at their shows? Judging a band's genre based on attendance is the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard. too bad they arent a band anymore. "minor threat had a small fanbase. label distribution was not nearly as good and most people traded tapes." A friend of mine and I saw Between the Buried and Me on this tour and he thought they were just random noise. The kids loves them now. He's a guitar player and he said BTBAM's guitarist can fucking tear it up. seeing them with will goodyear twice were two of the best shows i have ever seen. Between the Buried and Me plays some pretty fucking crazy ass shifty stuff, but to completely write these guys off...have you seen them play live? I don't see where you can't at least say that these guys have talent playing their instruments. minor threat had a small fanbase. label distribution was not nearly as good and most people traded tapes. So to be hardcore, you need to have a small fanbase? Ok, I guess Minor Threat can't be considered hardcore! DEP isn't a hardcore band, and neither is BTBAM. End of discussion. that's really funny that you'd say btbam isnt a hardcore band, whereas dep is. i've never seen btbam play a show with slayer. i dont recall btbam recruiting mike patton for one shitty record. i've seen btbam play a show to no more than 20 people. the silent circus is quite bad, but the self-titled portrays some fantastic songwriting and talent. in closing, shut the fuck up about your pretentious and idiotic observations about what is hardcore and what isnt. No, you're right, BTBAM is not a hardcore band. I don't know where they quite fit in on this tour. I still like BTBAM, though. If you like shitty death metal and really don't like hardcore at all listen to BTBAM Dillinger stand out......they are as popular as they are for a reason actually DEP sucks dick. and old BTBAM was awesome. "between the buried and me is like one of those spastic crazy ass bands like the red chord or dillinger escape plan SAS owns, and they are NOT a christian band, they never have been. Why does it matter anyway, they play great music. terror does suck. the reviewer was right in talking about the mentality of this band. tough guys with crew cuts and X's on their hands playing drop-d power chords....whats the difference between this and nu-metal jock rock with the exception that these dudes toss in words like "integrity" and "raise your fist" The singer is Christian, I know that. I don't understand where people get off saying they have christian lyrics...positive lyrics, yea, but I've never read anything like "oh god" or "jesus, jesus" in their lyrics. Of course music can be interpreted different ways, but no s.a.s. lyrics have ever struck me as hey this band is a christian band. i guess from the post below tho, they never have been Stretch Arm Strong is NOT a Christian band. No, they're total Zeuscore. I heard SAS is Christian. Are they? Day of Contempt rip it up. CHeck thedse guys out.....DRAIN........ Switch the "hardcore" in that statement to "metal" and BSD sounds like a Manowar fan. "Death to false Hardcore" Death to false hardcore normally, progressive metal sucks. but between the buried and me are superb. the silent circus is pretty awful, but the self titled record is exceptionally well written and awesome. it has a lot to do with will goodyear being in the band. however, the last time i saw them, they were horribly disappointing, so i can see why some people might not like them. Stretch Arm Strong are great live. I wouldn't mind seeing Terror although they're nothing special. BTBAM are barely listenable, I can't see what they're trying to do at all, their songs just don't come off as coherent. I’m really not too much into Terror; they play a brand of what I consider tough-guy-mosh-core that I’m just not into…probably because I’m not a tough guy and don’t say ‘Fuck’ enough. Aussie Aussie Aussie!! Good review. I saw this tour in Houston and San Antonio. All the bands played the exact same setlist at each show. I thought SAS was the best band at each show, though it did seem that many people showed up just to see Terror. Manowar is the greatest band ever! Strech Armstrong is the only good band on that show, Terror is a typical nothing special about them hardcore band, just like throwdown and hatebreed, and between the buried and me plain old sucked the first time i listened to them. when i saw them 2/3rds of the crowd left after terror finished their set. i'm not hugely into any of these bands but i was bummed for stretch arm strong. terror doesnt like you either, so shut the fuck up sickboi, Stretch closed with Angel's when I saw them about a month befor Engae came out. Don't know how the set changed since then. It was rocktastic. it gets really tiresome when people defend bad bands (ie BTBAM) by saying they "have talent". i mean, maybe they can play their instruments well, but their songs are still uber-whack. they just mix part after part that have no business being mixed together, throw in poorly down growling and then throw in annoying whiny-voiced emo parts. how fucking trite. see when rorschach and converge and deadguy stated doing the whole "throw lots of parts together and ignore normal song structure" thing in hardcore, it worked because the parts mixed well. but BTBAM just throw shit together and it sounds half assed. and then jump on the obnoxious emo bandwagon with their annoying high-voiced nassaly parts. so fucking lame. weird. the show here in detroit was in a huge venue. terror easily had the biggest crowd response...tons of stage dives yup i saw that tour w/ pennywise too. they fucking rocked out. crazy good. they were supposed to be coming back here soon w/ Give Up the Ghost. *RIP* hoping they still come. I saw stretch arm strong with guttermouth and pennywise not too long ago. They are quite enjoyable live. "Iced Earth"...hahahahahahah...awesome, this score is for "Man-O-War" t-shirts. |
