Feeling Left Out is described as a “heartfelt acoustic duo” in the press release, and I’d say that’s pretty accurate. The pair plays with hearts proudly on their sleeves, and it does nothing more than get really frustrating stains in their clothes. They strum the same chords over and over again and offer nothing more than nasally, emotional, laid-back, diary scrawling of one of the lowest degrees. It’s boring.

Standout moments are at quite the premium. There’s a really awkward progression and vocal match-up in “Goodnight,” although it eventually settles in. All of the songs end or begin with dissonant static / feedback / satellite signal feeds / fax machine dialing / Xerox noise / train braking / pattering rain / church bells ringing / brainwashing / whatever you want to call it, but all it really is is ambient filler. This would practically be an EP if not for the utterly random noises. Actually, considering the quality of the actual songs, I wouldn’t really be listening to an existing CD right now if not for filler.

There’s the occasional “pained background scream” thrown in for good measure too. It sounds like more of a “sure, what the hell” kind of thing than it does like it was actually a good idea, as if it added a rhythmic layer or some shit. Probably “some shit,” because it describes the rest of it to a ‘T.’

This album is great, but its only for someone who doesn't mind emo lyrics. The guitar work is great, the singing is top notch. It does feel a little repetative at times, but songs like "Replaceable Parts" and "Crowbar" will all of a sudden grab you and you'll want to listen to them over and over.

Like I said, this is for someone who likes emo, if you're one of those people who can't stand the lyrics and the so called "whining", then this isn't the album for you. I recommended it. Its cheap too, and I believe out of print so pick up a copy if you find one.

    An awesome EP

The message of this record is:
Feeling left out? Then hop on the bandwagon!

Every so often, you are relieved to hear screams in the background but then you realize the people are trying to sound cool or something. Here I went and got my hopes up that they were being euthanized with methodical and ruthless efficiency. OOooooooOOOOOAAAaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhh!!!!

It took me a little while longer than Jesse, but yes.

BSD is a lazy piece of shit.

Also, it's probably the coolest thing ever when you tell emo chicks that the slut from the Anniversary was a huge cokehead whore so you can do drugs with them and then hit the meat pit. But I can see your point.

Not lost in the mail because I didn't send it. Give me time, I'm busy between being an asshole on message boards and rockin' out to a recent cache of old punk records I discovered in the closet. It's like a demo tape type thing, so I'll have to make a personal copy for you. I still have your adress, don't worry, I'll try to get it to you before summer's end.

This score is for doing lines of coke off of spinning Led Zeppelin records, then lining up Dark Side of the Moon to The Wizard of Oz.

Who needs emo-bitches when you've got drugs?

Oh, and BSD, where the fuck is the CD you were going to send me?

    BSD (July 20, 2004)

This score is for how easy emo chicks are to bang after you play them this shite.
