Do you remember this band? It’s that female fronted U.K. band that released an EP out of the blue on Fat Wreck last year, produced by Bill Stevenson. It got quite a few bad reviews, but I really dug those seven songs. Meanwhile, the band toured the U.S., played with bands like Rancid, Yellowcard, Sugarcult and New Found Glory to name a few, were one of the “30 bands you need to know” according to Kerrang!, were in studio with Neal Avron (Everclear, New Found Glory, SR-71 and Yellowcard) to record these fourteen songs, and signed a deal with upcoming label Repossession Records. Quite some achievement for kids who are only aged between 17 and 19.

i just got this album and i thikn this band are amazing! im not usualy a big punk fan but this my convert me! i think the lead singer has amazing vocals and alot of the songs although sounds quite similar are AMAZING! wow. i was grumpy when i wrote that. to the misogynistic fuck two posts down: she's like a 17 year old girl, and someone's kid. just because girls don't like you or your mom ran out on you or whatever doesn't mean you hafta hate on all women. that is not a review it is offensive and you should keep this type of stuff to yourself. The Album is bollocks as well that journal entry is classic. what a shallow, vacant, useless cunt she really isn't all that good looking "Or were you too upset I insulted grandpa's 45's to notice how heavily drenched in sarcasm what I said was?" I typed two sentences... Get over yourself. "Wow, so you listen to music because it's hip and scene. That's awesome if you buy records for their covers, but people who like real music will keep on buying it." didn't discharge create d-beat? "Please. Everything made before 1978 is primitive, uncool, and culturally irrelevant." K8's lastest journal entry from The Fight's website. Imagine her speaking this drivel in that hideous voice of hers and tell me you wouldn't rather slap her in the face than listen to her crappy band. "long live the oldies." Old hardcore will never be mainstream. It's just too vicious. skeptix and mdc popular in the mainstream? you mad??? Scott has sexual feelings?!?! There's just absolutely no bite to this record, no fangs at all. Boring. When they start playing Discharge and Chaos UK back to back with Jimmy Eat World and Simple Plan, gimme a ring. "i never even heard blood brothers - i'm talking about compared to relevant old-school uk/us hardcore punk - late-70s/early-80s (think Discharge, FEAR, MDC, Black Flag, Chaos UK, Skeptix). that's all...whereas that was threatening and relevant and important and ground-breaking, this is not, this is fluff, but hey, whatever, to each his own! just voicing opinion" bah i'm not saying they should copy those bands either. i'm saying that this is crap - much of what comes out today is crap. long live the oldies. "i never even heard blood brothers - i'm talking about compared to relevant old-school uk/us hardcore punk - late-70s/early-80s (think Discharge, FEAR, MDC, Black Flag, Chaos UK, Skeptix). that's all...whereas that was threatening and relevant and important and ground-breaking, this is not, this is fluff, but hey, whatever, to each his own! just voicing opinion" She sings like James Hetfield. uhh, hip hop isn't included in the "Actual Music" category Nothing new since rock and roll? "This shit annoys me, man. I haven't heard this album or anything, but just because it isn't fucking Blood Brothers (Crimes in particular, so you haters don't jump on me.) doesn't mean that it isn't good. Just because it isn't starkingly original doesn't mean it is bad." "I still find it quite annoying though that she has to end her words with that weird “eh” (f.e. “back” = “back-eh”). " Just checked our the e-card. I wish I hadn't. Is she singing with noseplugs on. J F'n C that was bad. Oh shit, she's hot! Better give it an 8 then! props to the guy below me. there's nothing wrong with doing something that's already been done as long as you do it WELL. i saw this band when they played with the rxb crew, they're all insanely young and their singer is INSANELY hot. "formulaic, nonthreatening, yeah that's cool!" - Guy below. the girlband K8 was in was called The 21st Century Girls. an 8? jeez!! It sounds like they still suck. well the 2 songs i listened to were good - a nice old-school pop-punk sound to it Hmm, their previous stuff was dire. They're local to me, they like to act like rockstars trying too hard to look fashioncore. I don't understand why they've been taken so seriously. I think i saw this band at skate and surf. meh. What is this, "label wars"? how does one call a label "up and coming" if they've only released one cd? the singer from this band used to be in a spice girls type girl band....i forget what they were called now...that being said...i still kinda like this band... |
