Well, well. InMemory finally released a full-length album. I had been waiting for the day, I'll tell you that right now. While not a widely-known act, the Simi Valley, CA band had released a song for last year's pop-punk Christmas compilation A Santa Cause. But make no mistake about it. InMemory is not your typical pop-punk band.

i think this band is really good live. people that posted comments and talked shit don't know anything. my chemical romance is okay but they are played out atleast this isn't on kiss.fm or on pop stations so keep talking your shit. I totally agree with your review. They are amazing and i have had the honor to see them quite a bit. i love InMemory "Comparions to The Used (when they kicked ass)... "Comparions to The Used (when they kicked ass)... For those that would defend the review...you need to question the quality of the sites integrity...and while its understood every review is subjective to the listener...there is a degree of prefessionalism and objectivity that should be present in a reviewers assesment...this is what is quite lacking and highlighted by the vehement conversation of this review...this is not a 5 star album...and the site...and this reviewer should concede that. everyone on this site is a prick. if it's a generic band that's easily forgotten, why waste your time commenting? a million other people will say how much it sucks for you. I don't even want to give this a chance. Remember that just because one person (the reviewer) thinks the band is really good, doesn't mean they deserve a 5. I mean c'mon, the Used and My Chemical Romance...? No wonder I passed. Seriously, never let this guy review a cd agian. This cd is unlistenable and unorignal. The recording is so low quality it makes it really hard to listen to. I tried to look past that as I listened to the cd. Vocally the cd is very bad and repetitive. Perfect scores should go to bands like At The Drive-In, Refused, The Weakerthans, Jawbreaker, The Promise Ring, ect. Not this crap. Everybody should give the reviewer a break. You don't have to agree with him. It is, afterall, just his opinion. I cant' believe how pretentious everyone is that posts on this board. Anyone and everyone should feel free to disagree with each and every review they read. Taste in music and, consequently, reviews are entirely subjective. BTW, I actually decided to go listen to some of this stuff .. . and you know what, I don't think it's all that bad. Yes, it is rather generic . . but not altogether terrible. I wouldn't give it 5 stars, but I've seen terrible records get perfect scores in many well respected zines, i.e. AltPress, Kerrang, NME. If you want to be pretentious, go rant at the reviews on Pitchforkmedia. an other dime a dozen shit emo band comes out, you meet the guys in the band and they actualy talk to you and now you have your panties in a bunch. wow. come on now buddy. i liked the bit about the used and my chemical romance and then the bit about broadening musical horizons. I've heard this cd, and still i only think the only good song they've ever made is "accents are overrated", that's a kick in the ass of a song even if it wears thin and just becomes annoying after a week. "Sonic guitars" these guys suck kangaroo testicles My Chemical Romance's first album wasn't bad. It was better than the new one I think They're pretty bad My Chemical Romance aren't that bad. C'mon guys poor poor band, being compared to My Chemical Romance is a career obstacle that would be hard for anyone to by-pass. I'm usually really nice when I see a first review, but kid, you're a douchebag. my score is for this band, and the fact that this fucking moron gave them a perfect score. Comparions to The Used (when they kicked ass)... i hate to complain about the site, but i really think if the editors took the time to listen to this band and read the review they would realize that this is just a fan that is infatuated with inmemory. the rating system is flawed so anyone can give anything a 10 in reviews, but i dont understand how this could be allowed. You said the Used once kicked ass. I stopped reading after you said that the Used once kicked ass. Sorry, I have a stuffy nose, that should have read "flesh hounds." Strike one: Admitting fanboy status in a review. While some of the criticisms of this review might be accurate.... I meant to give it a 1. The Used never kicked ass, you lie like a persian rug. I downloaded this, listened to it once, and quickly forgot about it. I didn't find it to be anything special at all. Are you serious? you are obviously friends with this band....or a suck up from around their hometown. There is NOTHING original about this band. Honest songs? That's bullshit. There's nothing honest about music that comes out RIGHT in the middle of a fad. Sorry, it doesnt work that way. To give this cd a 10 is ridiculous. You're telling me that this record is as good as ANY record you've ever heard. Maybe YOU should broaden YOUR musical horizons. "Comparions to The Used (when they kicked ass) and My Chemical Romance are to be expected, but this band is far from what others would judge as a fad. The songs are honest, which is more than most bands can say about their work. The musicianship is extremely tight. Plus, the band members aren't pricks, which actually brings a lot to the table, whether listeners realize it or not. | Features
