Imagine Guttermouth, Blink 182, and NOFX melt together into one band. Weird mix, right? Well that's the best way to describe Beefcake. With the peepee-poopoo humor similar to Blink 182's, the four letter vocabulary of Guttermouth, and the lead-singer's screeching voice that closely resembles that of fat Mike and Tom Delonge, the band is not the most original to come out of the punk scene. Yet their hilarious lyrics, and fast melodic guitar riffs make this cd higly enjoyable. There just aren't too many differences between the songs that could set them apart, so it would be hard to give a good description of each one. Basically they are all fast, use power chords, dirty lyrics, with beat variations from song to song. The cd does have it's higlights though. "Bob Saget (I hate you)" is very melodic and very funny, "My dominatrix" is more poppy and funny. Other highlights include "End of the World," "Proctologist" and a great cover of the Cheap Trick song "Surrender." Also, look for a hilarious, acoustic bonus track. Bottom line is if you like this sort of loud, abnoxious, raunchy music then you will love this cd.

they have a song called 'bob saget is a faggot', they have a song about riding the blue bus. This is the best cd ever. I am not lying. This is really what punk rock is/should be about. It is one of the best examples of how things should really be done. fearless records sucks now, but they signed one of the best punk bands (other then beefcake,) 30FOOTFALL. This band is awesome, this cd is great but they could get better. if you like NOFX, Guttermouth and The vandlas you would like them. this is the good type fo punk, there not poser fags who wear makeup you kids are crazy, i love this cd, any fan of Vandals and Guttermouth should love this cd. If you combine Guttermouth, Blink-182, and NOFX don't you get NOFX? This is one of the worst CDs I've ever had the displeasure of listening to. Plus, their cover of "Surrender" is fucking awful. I should know, Cheap Trick is from my hometown [and they rule, by the way]. Please, kids, don't buy something as inherently shitty as this. the only Fearless band I'll listen to is Bigwig (and maybe ATDI). I hate Fearless Records...they ripped me off on mailorder. Please, bigwig, move to a label with some more respectable bands. Even Kung Fu was better |
