It's necessary that certain things in life follow formulas. Quadratic equations, most anything relating to physics or chemistry, and even more unfortunate than math and science: when bands strictly follow a certain formula musically. Not every band has the talent to try something truly ambitious, and that's for the better, but there's something so unsettling about a band who obviously puts little effort into the creative process of making an album. Firescape is one such band, and Rearden's Conscience is the unfortunate example of what happens when a band is afraid to take chances.

Something Corporate fans: Check out Josh Partington's new project FIRESCAPE! Their new album Dancehall Apocolypse drops June 12th! Check out some tracks from the album at www.myspace.com/firescape i think they are a great band and this review is way to harsh. Their lyrics are beautifully written. Obviously this critic doesn't know good music even if it were to write the article for them. Their beat is extremely catchy and the singer does a great job. It's one of the better bands. And he doesn't scream. Thank God. i think they are a great band and this review is way to harsh. Their lyrics are beautifully written. And he doesn't scream. Thank God. No, the person below me will get this because they have an unhealthy obsession with Something Corperate. Dear Mr./Mrs. Reviewer... These guys are fucking gross. i like it there are some sleazy, sleazy guys in this band. i saw them open up for straylight run, and after their set, they hit on like every girl who walked by their merch table. it was creepy. Score is for No Motiv reference. |
