One of the most storied live acts around have put out the long awaited follow-up to "Rituals of Life." Stretch Armstrong, the nice guys of hardcore, are undoubtedly the most fun hardcore band I know. They seem to capture the power and sincerity perfectly while still coming across in a positive way.

Chris McLane's voice is a thing of beauty and brutality. Throw in some chorus on the throat, feverish guitar, frenzied drumming, and you got "A Revolution Transmission," a natural progression from "Rituals…"

What else can I say that hasn't been said about these South Carolina folks. Incredibly passionate lyrics, a pounding mix of old and new school hardcore, and the baddest breakdowns around. This time, the formula remains with some new touches (a cool little instrumental and vocal effects), but the intensity has been turned up a notch. Obvious highlights include "Dreams Away" and "Take Back Control" about Rape and Incest abuse, which features dual screaming by Chris and a female friend (Patti Davis). Definitely take a good look at the lyrics on this one…

Again, I will have to wait patiently for them to come to my town. In the meantime, "A Revolution Transmission" will keep me satisfied...

Awesome album, I heard some songs off of it and was instantly pulled in by their massive hardcore sound. One of my favorite hardcore albums, by my favorite hardcore band.

Stretch Arm Strong kicks some asses. These guys and Whippernsnapper probably have to be my most favorite bands. And no, they are not a "Christian band" but some of the members are Christians. Who cares anyways? They rock.

    just awesome!

I thought this Album was really disappointing. It sounds like the leftovers from "Rituals of Life" only all the songs lack the freshness and energy of that release. Not bad, but definetly not a 9.

To the dude below me, have you ever heard of 7-10 Split ? They're a good Christian band. And what does being Christian have to with having talent as a band you mindless moron.

Dude - Clarifying point: Stretch isn't a christian band, they're just on a chritian label. Sorry man, keep trying to find a christian band with talent, it'll happen one day.

this album fucking rules, although i have to say that "take back control" is (musically) the lowest point of the album. these guys still play really fast and intense hardcore; i love it.
