When metal bands play with symphony orchestras, the results can be more than a little silly. However, as pompous as Metallica’s S & M was, I found myself enjoying it. The epic nature of heavy metal lends itself well to the big sound of a huge orchestra. There's a reason all the best metal guitarists are classically trained. Now, what would happen if one were to “punkify” that and strip the whole prospect down to a violin, cello, and drums? If the correct players were chosen, the result would probably come off sounding a lot like Judgement Day.

Iwant this score but where?? Please help me.... I love Judgement Day! I saw them in concert in Palo Alto last year they are soooo good! yeah. best music ive heard in a long while. Its something original, finally. Oh god that Remember Twilight band is not my cup of tea. This sounds much better though - better to have no vocals than bad vocals. Wow, look at all the high scores this week. Is this still punknews.org? I thought we were supposed to hate music. This band is pretty good, despite all the horns and crap. Well, the Idea isn't that new... well the idea sounds bad and the album art sucks, I know kids say it sounds okay but I don't think a listen is worth my time. Sounds like a terrible idea, but I am definately intrigued by the idea, so I will at least give it a listen. this sounds pretty badass. Although to be honest, i almost skipped over it just by reading the first few sentences. I was expecting this to be terrible cheese... but there is real talent here. |
