I had to look no further than the very cover of this album to know that I wasn’t going to like it. The sticker on the cover reads “For fans of My Chemical Romance, From First to Last, Bleeding Through, and Senses Fail.” Ouch; that’s game, set, match right there. After reading that, I didn’t even want to pop this into my CD drive. Epitaph is really barking up the wrong tree signing bands like this; leave that crap to someone else.

A 40 minute demo? Pssh, this isn't even an EP, it's a freakin' full length, actual album, etc. Not an Ep, not a demo. For a demo this is fucking good. i like this band. This release has 9 tracks. 9 tracks is quite a lot for a demo unless your gonna shop it around the labels. Night Like These did it, but they then re-recorded the 9 songs and had 2 new songs for a full length. To the douche bad below, this We Are Always Searching EP was the bands DEMO biiiiatch. They recorded it after being a band for like two months. Epitaph signed them and just re-released this cd and called it an ep. It may not be the greatist sounding recording but thats because they did it themselves. 'Pretty People Never Lie, Vampires Never Die' perfectly sums up this album. At times it's kind of boring, at time's it interesting, and at times it freaks out. this band fucking rocks. Enjoyed them in AZ on the Take Action Tour. Them and Silverstein were the best bands that night. I first heard of them in Alternative Press. Good CD. I enjoyed it alot. This band fucking rocks! I just got their cd last week. Pretty People Never Like is a bass ass song! Go to google and type in a line from the beginning of Lady Madeline. Put it all in quotes. See what you find. Well, i think the people that hate them are just jelous because they were signed after like their 2nd show or something. But, if you just listen to music for the music, then i think this cd is rad. I stole it and burned a few copies. he he he I saw the cd at Hot Topic in the top ten section. They are selling alot of cds, so, they must be doing something right, eh? the cd could be better but fuck it was their demo and they are brand fucking new and shit! I honestly think this cd is just as good or better than most of the shit out their, and those bands have been doing it for years. Shit, i am gonna see them at HOB with Silverstien in two week. ill tell you if they suck live or not Great band imo, they arent even huge and are already stirring up alot of haters thats pretty impressive. This album is fucking amazing i just got this CD. i think some of you are on crack. This thing hasnt left my cd player in two days. I love it! I Love I Am Ghost. You have your opinion and this is mine. One of the best bands ever today. hey, not bad musically...lyrics are dorky though. read this and tell me this guy isn't a retard... reviewers who dont play music should not talk about "melodies" and "falsetto" when they don't know what the fuck they're talking about. how old is the guy who wrote this review?... This band of Hot Topic rejects is truly CRAPTASTIC! Wow. Shit talking always = Anonymous posting. What a bunch of fucking douche bags. Reveal yourselves! From what i've heard thus far, this shit is pretty tired and crappy. Like Anchors said, try something new for a change. If I have to hear one more lyric about cutting or suffocating, or drowning, or dying in general.....Jesus H. Christ people! This is really starting to remind me of the "pop punk days" back in 99-00 when everybody wanted to sing shitty songs about their girlfriends to a blink 182 rip off riff. I'm over this shit, but I'll never be over Epitaph. I HAVE FAITH! Fringe-core has to DIE! Oh, but then again maybe that's what these bands want... fuck u, ur sense of music is totally bizarre!!!! ur just another one of those emo haters-a discpicable, ignorant, fuckin arragont diehard fan of CLASSICAL music!!!!!!!! i like this cd alot. so shoot me. but its still a good cd. that douche singer looks like vaginal discharge That douche singer looks like a gothic cris kattan. it's funny, i was dipping through the 'budget $1.99 cds' at princeton record exchange here in nj and there was like 30 of these already there. when did this even come out? Ha ha ha. Its a fucking review. They sell out all their shows. They are touring, they are making music. I Am Ghost gets the last laugh on all us fucks. So, whatever. no, i meant it more like cause i am a lazy ass and in a few years when they are out touring and making money, i am going to be sitting here talking shit on the next band about to be big with shit music. is was complete self depricating, not sucking up to a band that will make it. ...maybe i should listen to them though since i'm so down on myself "i dont really want to talk shit on them because i know if epitaph gets them on tour with mcr and possibly afi (although i think afi fans might see through this bands image into the nothingness) i think this band can become popular and make money." I thought the intro track was nice, kinda original sounding. But yes, I'd have to concur that the rest of it is headachingly repetitive and the lyrics.... oh the lyrics! ok. so i'm back. i skipped the last song on their page. i dont really want to talk shit on them because i know if epitaph gets them on tour with mcr and possibly afi (although i think afi fans might see through this bands image into the nothingness) i think this band can become popular and make money. so uh, good for them i guess? its streaming on purevolume. i'm going to listen to the whole thing then report back. if i dont make it back in 20 minutes or however long this is, that means i didnt make it out alive and now, i am ghost Anyone who listened to this cd one time and didn't like it I say listen to it agian. I really didn't like it the first time I heard it, but the second time it sounded much better. They have really complex melodies that don't exactly sound smooth the first time you listen to it, but once you figure out how it blends together it sounds pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but very good. anchors hit the nail on the head. this music is basically pure shit. This album really sucks, but Anchors likes Alexisonfire. Take the title track, “We Were Always Searching,” where things begin with some Darkest Hour like-riffing, before some odd keyboard parts and the slowdown to an almost whispered singing delivery. The vocals slowly but surely get louder while the clean guitars work on their own underneath, barely even heard below the singer's falsetto. There’s about 20 seconds directly in the middle of the song where I Am Ghost goes into hardcore freakout mode, only to have things return to the stale redundancy that has been building all album long. Even when the singer, who’s seemingly plenty capable, hits some great vocal melodies, it’s buried so far into the ground with repetition that the talent doesn’t even matter any more, as long as the song is over. I actually thought this album was pretty good. Score is for Darkest Hour and Kris Norris for being the most fucking bad-ass guitarist in the scene today. yet another crappy band reviewed by Anchors. you must have stacks upon stacks of "coasters" at your house. Score is for Darkest Hour and Kris Norris for being the most fucking bad-ass guitarist in the scene today. This sucks...this style of music sucks and epitaph sucks. No, sweet cheers for sweet revenge! He isn't "every band's nightmare for a reviewer," he just knows what music is unoriginal garbage and what isn't. This is. Three cheers for Anchors! Wow. Damn. bretts gonna be pissed you left yellowcard out of all that, the violin solos get a little tiresome. over all i didn't think this was as bad as a lot of people seem to but its not terrific either "They don’t stand out in the slightest, not even among their boring retread peers." He was clearly impressed by all the "riffing." I'm surprised you gave this a 1.5 with the review that you wrote. |
