The City on Film / Pigletlive in Chicago (2006)live show Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: Jesse (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on February 14th 2006
The show took place at an old church right by UIC that's been turned into an arts center. It still had the gigantic neon cross hanging above the altar and movie theater seats. I can't remember what the hell it's called, which is a shame, since there are more good shows coming up.

i didnt see this show, but ive seen piglet perform countless times (probably close to 10 or 11) and i think that they are one of the best bands to come out of the chicagoland area (highland park in their case) in a long time. not only are they tight and competent musicians, but they always seem to put on a great show! you can really tell that music means the most to them 'cause of the copious amounts of passion in their music. you can just really see it when they play. plus, they are so fluid and connect so well together. Brian Moss is alright...not all that special. Robert Nanna is just an amazing spectacle to watch live. Whether it be Braid, Hey Mercedes or The City On Film. I love Bob Nanna, but I saw him play at my school last weekend at it was pretty boring. City on Film makes good music, but translated into weird electronic stuff and leaving out the drums makes it hard to listen to. im gonna sound like a total dumbass but what band was brian moss in? i fuckin know it but am drawing a blank We missed Brian Moss because we got distracted while picking up a friend. And well, my ride is usually "fashionably late." I wanted to go to this so bad. The place is South Union Arts. No Jawbreaker cover though? I've been kicking myself for not going though. wow, if you have never heard piglet before then you are out of step with the chicago scene. | Features
