The Emo Diaries series was a long-running staple of Deep Elm Records, giving people their first listen to bands such as Further Seems Forever, Benton Falls, and Brandtson. At the beginning they all had the very same thing in common: They were unknown. It was that series that brought them into the homes and ears of many, and now Deep Elm is attempting to do the very same thing with This Is Indie Rock. Now on Volume III, the label aims to give some exposure to twelve artists they deem fitting of success.

everyone should listen to encyclopedia. their album and live show is hellz amounts of fun Deep Elm is really hit and miss. aw, cmon, it was kinda funny. "When is I Spend All Day on Myspace: Emo Diaries 15 coming out?" When is I Spend All Day on Myspace: Emo Diaries 15 coming out? Someone should shoot Deep Elm and put the entire label out of its misery. Or some very satisfied gay men. Oh, I kid the gay men and/or Deep Elm don't ya know? Serioulsy, I was all prepared to rail against the goffiness of "Indie Rock" as a genre, but then I realised that it's pretty much futiile at this point. Deep Elm's not a bad label, so there's no reason this can't be alright. Someone should tell the guys at Deep Elm that they got "The Shocker" wrong. |
