Everything I wrote, save for the inconsistency in how I wrote the album titles, was grammatically correct. Yeah, that was me. the comment below me is great (although very incoherent). It is impossible to be into punk rock and hate nofx because nofx is punk rock. NoFX are amazing at their instruments. their talent is one of the most impressive aspects of their sound. Almost everyone here is a fucking hypocrit. You just need to realize that if it wasn't for NOFX, alot of you would have never become interested in punk in the first place. Hell, I wonder how many of you fuckers who say NOFX is the shittiest band ever have at least one of their albums playing regularly. I'm not the biggest NOFX fan either, but their shows are more energetic than so many of these newer bands. You refer to them as crap and then say the only reason you go to their show was to see The Lawrence Arms, and you think NOFX is crap? nofx are whiny liberal cunts who think bill clinton was a good president Nofx isn't good at their instruments? Hefe is a great guitar player. NOFX isn't great at their instruments, their musical talent isn't superb, but they make godamn good songs, anyone who says that they're no good are obviously wrong, how could a band that sucks be around for this long and have such a large fan base. I don't personally like their music, they do pop-punk well, and they'll probably keep doing it. Will I care? No. Will their fans care? Yes, and they'll keep listening to it. No amount of "OMG NOFX SUCKKSSS!!!11" is going to change that. Seeing Double at the Triple Rock = Good "Rock Against Bush: It's Not Not Shortsighted!" Oh, and NOFX were only good for one thing. I've only been into punk for about 3 years, and I got War on Errorism when it first came out. I've since gotten albums from almost all of the bands they name check on that CD. Not surprisingly, all of those albums are waaaay beyond NOFX. I can't believe that a band so poppy, politically bland, and normal could be influenced by Rudimentary Peni. Oh, and the way I see it, NOFX isn't being political because they actually care a great deal (like Propaghandi & anarcho/crust bands), but because it's cool. Why do you think Green Day suddenly released a "political" album after years of singing about masturbation, love, and teenage angst? Not because they've grown up; because they needed to make a comeback, and knew appealing to all the kids who blindly vote for the Democrats ("because their mommy does it") would make them MORE MONEY. When there's a big market of left-leaning centrist teens who can't get their heads beyond "Bush sucks!", there's gotta be someone to cash in on it. NOFX saw their opportunity, and took it. When you have a choice between making money and playing basement shows three nights a week and eating vegan frozen meals from a dumpster as you squat in an unheated, asbestos-filled apartment, putting on a "Buck Fush" t-shirt at the nearest Warped Tour stage sounds pretty appealing. that probably goes without saying though. To clarify, "Golden Boys" is not a Germs song, but a song written by a pre-Germs band called Vagina Dentata. The Dickies also covered it. Weird. i know songs have music and words. and thats exactly what nofx does. they write fucking songs. I think this EP sounds a lot like Pump Up the Valuum. I can't wait to hear this, and I won't apologize for liking NOFX. Nofx rocks. All you haters out there go wake up. NOFX formed in 1983...(not to be a dick) I don't think NOFX has been around nearly as long as many other bands. I mean, they formed in 1986....Bad Religion formed in 1980......The Damned fromed in 1976.....so yeah they are FAR from being the oldest still running group. Plus NOFX is boring and irritating.....where as those other bands aren't. Boooo!). Can't wait for the full-length! I love this band and have for well over a decade. That said, the lyrics to "You're Wrong" are some of the least clever and most intellectually lazy they have come up with. Normally, I'm pretty impressed with these guys and this EP is no exception. NOFX are the definitive skate punk rock band, they arent trying to be velvet underground, fugazi or any of the other greats who are infintly more punk/importnat/talented or the newer art-etc bands hella, lightening bolt. Take things on their own merit. autographs are for idiots these dudes are tricking kids everyday into thinking they know about the "injustices" of the world. just because you sing about issues, doesn't mean you understand them. they are trying to sell secords my friends, this isn't punk rock anymore. I never understood how people could call NOFX things like "juvenile and uninspired" when they are undeniably very important and one of the most influential bands in the history of punk rock. For the record, I'm 18 and have been an absolutely huge fan of this band since I was I guess around 14. I don't see it changing anytime soon. I think that some people just don't get that it's not just juvenile profane humor, it's actually quite brillant musical satire in a world where most bands are dull, sound the same, and aren't saying anything. Why is this band still making music? TO FINALLIZE IT I think the first album El Hefe was on, it was spelled El Jefe, every one after that it is El Hefe. Although I believe the correct Spanish spelling is Jefe. But spelling isn't punk. NOFX records never tend to have much staying power with me, although there are NOFX songs constantly in rotation on my end. However I quite like the overall feel here, so I expect I'll like Wolves more than Errorism. I wasnt expecting to much from this I meen the only NOFX records you need are Punk In Drublic and So Long... Well hey add this one to your collection. A suprisingly great suprise. ...if you wanna get AIDS or dysentery. Well at least Jamaica's alright. Although i like NOFX, imho this EP isn't that good : i wouldn't give it more than a 6. The first song is fast and good, the others are just average and generic. Everything in Moderation is especially frustrating : it sounds like an intro of what would be a super fast song, the whole time you're waiting for the fucking song to start. After looking at the schedule for the Triple Rock, I really fucking want to go to that venue someday. I literally saw ten or twelve shows I'd go to... four or five which I'd go to in a heartbeat. I'd say this is a better buy that Regaining Unconciousness, since all but one song on that came from War on Errorism and only two songs from this will be on the new full length. Plus it'd be cool to own just for the cover. This sounds pretty good. NOFX has aged better than pretty much any of their peers (Rancid, I'm looking at you). Is this as good a buy as Regaining Unconciousness? 'Cause that was a straight shitty buy. What I mean to ask is should I just wait for the full length?
