| Boys Night Out / Anterrabae / Just Surrenderlive in Farmingdale2006 live show Review by: Brian See others by this writer Boys Night Out (link) Only registered users can post comments Published on May 26th 2006
Having not yet gotten to experience live the majority of Boys Night Out's rather well done effort of last year, Trainwreck, getting to see them on headline a show at the agreeably sized Crazy Donkey club in Farmingdale, NY was a good opportunity, especially as I hadn't bothered with the tours they've supported as of late (Fall Out Boy, Armor for Sleep).

"Anyway, they were great, and more people need to be going to this tour. As Brian said before, the Trainwreck material sounds virtually flawless in a live setting, with the band nailing every twist and turn." This band's music alone is enough to keep me away, but add in their absurd aesthetic and they are revolting. 55 minutes of boys night out?? i got fed up after 5 minutes when i saw them, so that set would have ended me. Scott, I'm about 90% sure anything the band recorded pre-EP was eventually re-recorded for something. You Are My Canvas was 4 songs -- 3 of those were redone on BB&BK, and the other was "Anatomy of the Journey," which was eventually reduxed for MYS. Yes check them out. Buy trainwreck stat. Saw the first night of this tour in Cleveland. daneurysm! rather hear "the boys no good." it fits the band better "Things were looking very promising for a band who would often disappoint me with 8-song headlining sets and playing songs from 2003's Make Yourself Sick that sounded slow and tired compared to the studio versions" Oops, forgot to log in. Last comment was me. Victor Versus the Victim and This Broken Killswitch are easily the two best tracks from their EP. Weird that they didn't play them. I gotta say your comment on kara duply was really stupid. She was a freakin add-in,when they played MYS songs all she did was dance around like the ugly bitch she is. Your gay man.....but im pretty sure your a female. i saw them a week or so ago and i was greatly disappointed. i didn't know before hand that kara was what had made the difference for me in the band, without her they are as faceless and boring as any emo band. i hate to say it because i thought trainwreck was the best album released last year... oh well BNO is fucking great. I saw em in Toronto when they did a record signing at live act. I GOT TRAINWRECK SIGNED BYALLTHE BAND MEMBERS!!!! SLIP AND CD!! but seriously if anyone says there bad you need to take their sexual preference into considerations for a guy hes gay and a girl well......they do talk about killing girlfriends/wifes alot. lol. Go to hell you hipster BNO haters. Boys Night Out is very solid live. Im not the hugest fan of any of their material, but they put on a great live show. Worth the price of admission for sure. my old band drowning adam got to play with these guys during the make yourself sick era. They were a great bunch of guys on and off the stage. yes, you should. the first ep is really fucking great, you'll like that. Have never listened to BNO, should I? |
