This album is great if you have never heard NUFAN before because it has a few of the best songs from at least 4 of their previous albums. For the longtime NUFAN fan, this is a great album because the songs are played a bit different and the songs off don't miss the train sound better here than on the original. The sound on this album is great, every instrument is recorded clearly. I happened to be at one of the recording dates at Slim's and can say that was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I have seen NUFAN a few times before when Chris was with the band and they were incredible. Dave was with the band for this live recording and I thought he did a good job pulling off playing Chris's leads. So when you listen to the album and wonder if they really do sound that good live, they sound better. The CD is also enhanced, meaning you can watch a good quality video on your computer. The have 3 or 4 songs on the video (not different songs than the audio portion) and some interviews and chit. The comic book, although a great idea to rip off RKL's rock and roll nightmare, was weak. They offer a chance to order a full size comic book from Fat, but I don't see why anyone would after seeing the CD version.

Nufan are good but started sucking after "Making Friends", they got all slow. I haven't boughten this yet but I kind of want to but will someone tell me if it has the lyrics to the songs with it?

I used to like these guys, before I saw em live. Pa-the-tic. One Man Army and the Swingin Utters opened for them, what kind of shit is that? They were cocky assholes who sounded like something coming out of my ass live....sickboi

This is an excellent live album. I was fortunate enough to go to the L.A. show from which this album was recorded. Sure, the album was edited like it's nobodys business, but it comes across pretty good at the end. The Slim's portion of the CD sounds a bit faster than the L.A. show, his voice is kinda different too. I guess SF gets crazy like that. First and last songs on the CD were definitely from L.A. though.

i've seen em 2 times, and the first time in 98 was so much better. they are still a good band, but when good riddance and the mad caddies play before you, you'd better come out and blow the place up. Leche con Carne is one of the best albums on Fat.- fathead

    WORST review EVER!!!
It sounds like a 14 year old bad essay.

    Lame review.

About the album: Too much studio work, it doesn't sound real, not like a punk show sounds like, it just sounds like different version of the same songs.

When I reviewed this everyone was giving it like 2's and stuff. I still like this album. Good stuff.

NUFAN was one of the first punk bands i saw live. Since that show, I've seen dozens and dozens of bands (just about everybody i've wanted to see), and the NUFAN show is still one of the most memorable i've seen. Amazing energy, both by the band and the crowd, and an amazing setlist, just about everything you could have wanted to hear. Since there's a massive lack of independant record stores around here (that, and I'm lazy), it's in the mail. I can't fucking wait....
